That’s so weird how at certain moments the blades look like there not spinning but the spiral symbol on the spinner cone indicates that it is indeed spinning. Very cool

@@erison_guci Just FYI there is no 'illusion' like this if you're looking at the engine in person, this effect is just because of its interaction with the frame rate of the camera. The spirals are simply to make it visually obvious to ground crew working around planes that the engines are spinning so they keep clear.

@@visionist7 the power to start the Engines is produced by the APU, they generate 2x225kvA.

@@visionist7 No. Batteries cannot provide enough power to start the engines on their own. It will need a generator to start 787's engine: • Auxiliary Power Unit • Ground Power • Already running engine The battery issues is simply being an early adopter of lithium-ion batteries at such a large scale.

Not even! What you're seeing here is the engine in idle or just a little over idle. Full throttle is only on the runway just prior to takeoff

No, the cone isn't reliable in indicating exact speed. It's just there to tell the ground crews it is spinning (and preferably to stay away).

Not sure what you mean by sun bursed. Its called racked fanblades. But they will spin in what direction the manufacturer decides. But you can tell from the spinner what way it will spin. Also the blades give it away. Sharp edge always is always the leading edge
