Putting books in freezers is exactly how libraries and museums treat them for bugs! So yes that should work. We always left them for two weeks to be sure!

I learned from other weavers a good way to kill moth larvae that might be in wool fibers and yarn. For example if you buy from a thrift store or estate sale and don’t want to chance exposing your stash to a possible infestation. Put it in black plastic bags in a car parked in the sun in the summer. But I wouldn’t do this with books!

Love that floor color! I agree, organizing is so satisfying. An FYI: That large copper "tea pot" is likely a kettle. Kettles are usually made of metal and are used on the stove to heat up the water whereas teapots are usually ceramic and are what the tea is served in. Love your videos!

Kinsley is so curious and so excited to see you everything just like you are mama lol. The funniest part of this video is when she jumped up on the shelf and you weren’t even paying attention😊❤. So in your collection, I think a lot of the reason why you have multiples of things is at first you were thinking not only of your main house but of the cottages and how you would decorate them and what you would put in them and now I think that’s been put on hold because of other obstacles. That’s the things that I can remember is you shopped with your mom at the antique stores and out at the trade days there in Fredericksburg. Do you have a very good collection going on. And because you have been collecting it now for what a year and a half /two years all of that stuff takes time money and effort and you have done a wonderful job keeping your vision, and true to what you wanted to go into your home you can tell that by looking at your collection now. I remember the chairs the red ones but I do not remember what you were going to do with them and where you were gonna put them they are still gorgeous! I am so excited for each and everyone of your rooms to evolve but I know here really soon you’re going to show us the kitchen and we’re gonna move back into the living room! So you can put Christmas up🎉🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤❤

As a once upon a time library assistant, yes books in the freezer are a good call. We had a special freezer just for books by the book drop that we would put any books returned with bugs, especially bed bugs!

Making your own boutiqur is brilliant! You can shop what you already own, and it will keep you from buying more of what you already have enough of. What a great use for your guest space when you aren't yet ready for guests. I don't know if you are ever shopping for prints/art that are unframed. Curious if you had considered making a Milanote board with your empty frames? If you took pictures of each with the exact dimensions, you'd always know if you have a frame that would fit.

Here in South Africa we have wheat bugs and everyone put their flour in the deep freezer to ensure to kill the bugs and prevent bugs. Macenna please may I ask if possible that you try be more water wise. I’m a biologist and the freezer method works to kill bugs! For research, we would sweep net fields, then bag the insects we caught in ziplocks and place them in the freezer for a couple days so we could identify the insects. I’m glad that degree is finally paying off to help debug home decor 😜
