very good battle with winnona finally ash gets his 4th badge i guess the next is gonna be the one of norman. The evolution of slakoff is a welcomed one finally he becomes one of ash's mains. Looks like growvile has the same problems than charmeleon in the what if ash won the indigo league series so i can't wait to see how his character evolves. maybe he is going to have the same problems than charrizard while evolving. Much more interresting than cannon. I feared that mawhile gets angry of being sent to oak like spiritomb in the what if ash won the sinnoh league series i hope not. Can't wait for next parts verry good work man keep going.

Honestly the last few episodes really make me feel like Ash and May would do nicely as more than just friends, i do doubt this what if will go off in that direction though.

Good episode, i like the idea of ash coming up with moves that lean in to multiple things that help his pokemon. I think you should definitely have that happen in your other what ifs as well. Not a big fan of spoink but we'll just have to see what you can cook up. If you ever decide to give Pikachu volt tackle like he got during honen i think you should definitely try doing move combinations. Like an iron tail volt tackle combo for example

It’s always a nice surprise when Rune shows up. The rematch was something Ash needed. He’s truly coming into his own. Reminds me of the battle frontier ash in a good way. I didn’t think ash was getting that Spoink. While I always thought it should have been caught, it always felt like a pokemon May should have caught. Speaking of May is truly seeing that the slight lead she caught on Ash is closing fast and now she needs to step up her own game. Grovile is seemingly starting to go through his own depression arc. And that evolution was a surprise but a welcomed one. Though I think it’s best that it stays as the second evolution cause we all know that horrible ability the third stage has

Really loved this part. This series is getting really good. The rematch with winona was good, showed ash is growing. Interesting capture in spoink, was not expecting that. And i liked the indotruction of the third elite 4 member. Keep it up!

Badge number 4. The fact that Ash is using a new strategy to raise his Pokémon and I think this is pivotal later. And we meet another Honnen Elite Four member Phoebe and it looks like we have a tie in to Pokemon Ranger and the Temple of the Sea Crown. We will see how this goes later. I wonder why Phantom is part of Team Aqua though.

Could have caught a different Pokemon unless he evolves Spoink seems like he'll cause more harm then good considering it can't keep track of something that has been with it since birth.

Honestly i think spoink isnt the best choice. I would've chosen a meditite for ash as it would've also given him some fighting coverage too
