Well, ce🎉first your in CANADA! watched one utube just now and l am convinced, feet are were it’s at. Will join your site January, l have just started going to gym. My goal is to dead lift! Well and better balance as falling has become an issue! I am 73 5th oldest at the gym l joined! Never mind..goals are where it’s at. My feet are singing a”finally” as they have been talking to me my whole adult life and nothing really has “fixed”. Moving along? Back, then neck now arms. Such fun trying to get this old body alignment but determined to at least stop the forward head thing getting any worse!

Thank you so much for your supportive content. I have had chronic left glute and lower back pain and cramping (when I sleep on that side) for 6 years. In the past 2 years each of my knees have become swollen and painful with running and or jumping exercise, leading me to have to stop it completely. I currently cannot bend my left knee fully. I've been to chiropractors and acupuncturist and an orthopedic surgeon who wanted to operate (2 small meniscus tears). I know lots of ppl have meniscus tears without issue, so I'm avoiding surgery and doing ok on that side (right side). I suspect fascia and underlying alignment issues have gone on too long and my body is speaking to me through pain and inflammation. I am a very healthy, active (walking, weights, non jumping fitness), 51 year old, at a healthy weight. I am going to look into the next step with block therapy and how to apply it for my situation. Thank you!

I think I understand how to do the rooting but I wonder about how much I should keep it? I mean, I have heard in classes that I should activate my rooting but when keeping that during a whole pose, I feel like I can't relax into the pose as I would like to do.. I may have misunderstood something...

Hi Ann - Rooting helps bring support to our lower back and even our pelvic floor. Ideally you would be rooting on the exhalation phase of the breath, which is usually when you exert yourself on an action, like picking up something heavy. It is ok to continue with a low grade root at other times, but that doesn't work for you, please do incorporate it when lifting heavy things. While blocking you can practice rooting on the exhale and releasing on the inhale.

What if your knees want to face outward
@Fluidisometrics3 ай бұрын
Since we are connected from head to toe, it would require work from head to toe. Actually in the reverse order. You would want to focus on your feet and work up the chain. If you would like to give Block Therapy a try you could start with the Sampler Program for only $9. This allows you to try before you buy. You use a rolled towel as the tool. Here is the link: blocktherapy.com/sampler-program/ If you find you like it and want to start Block Therapy, then you would want to purchase the Starter Program. Here is the link along with everything you get with this purchase: blocktherapy.com/starer-package-store/ Starter Program comes with: - Block Buddy - 12 classes - approximately 30 mins in length that cover the entire body - Educational videos - pdf's of all positions - Breast and Lung Health virtual intensive - Access to the free monthly classes - A 7 day free trial in the membership All of the above is yours for life, with the exception of the free trial in membership. We also have a facebook group where people share their experiences with blocking. Here is a link to the facebook group if you would like to join: facebook.com/groups/1888044614779525/

Is it possible to reverse a pelvic tilt that has been like this since a young child?
@Fluidisometrics Жыл бұрын
Yes, it is technically possible to reverse a pelvic tilt that has been there for a long time. However, it took time to develop to where it is today, and it will take time to unwind. Block Therapy will definitely be important for you to release those incredibly deep layers of fascia that have layered upon themselves for a long time, and target the cause sites. Focus first on releasing the foundation and strengthening the core and breath. This will take you, bit by bit, in the right direction.

I have just found you today and know that your techniques are what I need. My chronic issues are in my feet and calves which includes daily edema the past couple of months. I will be doing the finger and toe web technique daily (is it okay to do more than once a day?). Regarding this rooting practice (and the calf release), I have less than zero space between my thighs to place anything to squeeze. Do I just start with a wash cloth rolled or something?
@Fluidisometrics4 ай бұрын
Welcome! I'm glad you found us! You will get so much benefit from the toe work. You can do that as many times as feels right for you. Definitely do it daily. Yes, you can start with something smaller and work your way up to something larger. Baby steps! :)

What would you recommend for people who has one leg longer than the other 1sm. ?
@Fluidisometrics2 жыл бұрын
Leg length difference is most often the result of pronation in the ankles. One foot tends to collapse more than the other, over time resulting a rotated pelvis. Block Therapy address the fascia patterns, releases the adhesions and supports bringing a solid foundation back into the body which will correct the leg length difference. If from a trauma such as a broken femur where the length of the leg is actually different, that is when lifts may be required.
@DeepRestQuest2 жыл бұрын
@@Fluidisometrics Thank you for your answer. I just finished Deanna's book and watched a few of your earlier videos. Have you in your practice seen that for no apparent reason one of the femure bones was actually longer then another? Can there be a not apparent reasons related to fascia that may prevent one of the femure bones from growing to it's full size without bone trauma. Ankles seem even, one gluteal fold is lower then another 1sm and x-ray (laying down and standing) both show 1sm difference in femure bone. Do you think Block Therapy can fix it? (There was a hernia surgery on the side of the shorter leg. - Could that be the reason or it's a side-effect of a tilted pelvise?) Thank you!

Great instructional video. I have a question. I have knock knees. Generally, when I put the block between my thighs, my knees, and therefore my feet are spread somewhat wider than demonstrated. What is the safest and most beneficial way to hold the block between the thighs in this case?
@Fluidisometrics3 жыл бұрын
Hi Jeanne, you can position the Block the most narrow way and play with the different heights from above the knees to the top of the adductors. Ultimately, whichever way supports the correct alignment for you. Hope that helps!
