I've been busting my butt to do a raised bed garden. I put in 5 beds. There's only 3 of us. We have a really small lot where houses are atop each other so high density living means I have to use the vertical more than horizontal. Our summer has been rainy & humid, hardly any sun so I used canopy's to protect what I've planted to avoid rot. My white Baby Boo pumpkins had so many blossoms and pumpkins, but a few fell off from the rain. I'm going to use a clear umbrella, cut the handle off and jam into the soil to protect them. I just wanted to say thank you for being so inspirational and a tender heart.

It flips me out and makes my heart patter the way you spin & lift & turn the melons...I am such a wimp in the garden, babying the fruit...like "awww, my lil babies" and being super gentle...perhaps if I get more bold I'll produce more

No kidding! Just hearing the night time there and seeing nature gets the circumstances of our borders off my mind. I love gardening, but am constantly thinking of what needs to be planted, transplanted, trimmed, picked, blanched, frozen, eaten, tied up, mulched, watered and then there's the yellow birds and hummingbirds by the hundreds I feed, so cleaning all the feeders. If she can do it, so can I! Now I'm wanting chickens. Wonder what our neighbor would say, only 8 ft in between houses. LOL

I used to have an orange tabby kitty that gardened with me and followed me everywhere named GK (Garden Kitty). He was from a litter that was dumped at the place. We had him for over a decade as a garden fixture and hunter-extraordinaire of gophers, voles and mice. KG reminds me of GK. Hugs to Kitten George!

Your melon bags are the exact ones color and size, that made me think of the shower scrunches! Lol. And when you take one apart, by usually cutting the middle string (usually cotton string) they look just like one long uncut melon bag. And I save and reuse, if I can, and I love finding and bagging each one. ❤😉 Tyfs and God bless.

Carol Taylor I dice them, put into a bowl and add salt, pepper and garlic powder. I toss them gently then add enough flour to coat them then fry them till golden brown. Don't put the flour on them till you are ready to put into the skillet. It keeps the coating from getting tough. The garlic gives them a wonderful taste.
