Rotax 670cc Go Kart Build Pt. 2 | 125 Horsepower Engine is Mounted!

We square up the engine and make engine mounts using the factory rubber engine mounts on our rotax 670cc 2 stroke go kart! We also disassemble the rear axle in preparation to switch over the rear drive belt pulley to a split sprocket hub. Then, our intern Peyton challenges Ike to a tug of war between Peyton's 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee and Ike's 1997 Jeep Wrangler. Watch the episode to find out who wins!

This brings back memories! Back when I was 15 I tried the same thing. My friend and I spent all winter building this monster. Two things you should know, have very good brakes and find a wide open area to drive it in. It had only 2 speeds: fast and peel the skin off your face fast. And loud too. We drove it four times before dismantling it for the good of mankind.

I have that same motor in my sled. 1.Notice this one has a ring gear on the clutch, so electric start can be added on. 2. Remember to hook up the oil supply tank and premix your first tank of fuel 32:1. 3. Note that these engines have a pulse fuel pump, which needs to be hooked up properly in order to get proper fuel flow. 4. These rotary valve engines flood very easily, only give it 5 primer pumps maximum. 5. The primary clutch has 3 little adjustment bolts numbered 1-6. Every increase by 1 increases full throttle "pull RPM" by 200. Your pull RPM on the 670 rotax should be 7750RPM. Any lower than that you aren't hitting peak power.
