I don't think it's a learned or practice trait because very few do it. The Queen, Billy Graham, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Mother Theresa are the only ones I know who everyone seems to say that about them. Everyone, from lowest to highest gets the same, full and complete attention.

At 0:51 She seemed a little awkward and perhaps genuinely embarrassed at not remembering her first meeting with that soldier. She must meet hundreds of people every year. It would be impossible for her to remember each one, yet it did seem to bother her that she could not recall him. This tells me all I need to know about The Queen. What a wonderful lady.

The way she was able to make small talk with everyone she met and made every person in her presence feel special and seen is a gift no one else has. I'm from the 🇺🇸, but admire the Queen so much for her honor to her duties at her age. It makes the military so proud to see her, the one man that said he'd met her before and her saying oh yes, as if she remembered, which knowing how astute she is, she probably did. Sad to see her by herself, knowing Philip was always with, still is in spirit.

I don't know why, but this particular video made me cry real tears of grief. She's been the Queen my entire life (and the entire life of my mum!) and one just believed she'd always be there. She looks more frail in this video in a way I hadn't noticed the last few years. I think we took it for granted that we'd never lose her. Grief comes in stages and seeing Her Majesty return to Buckingham Palace for her Lying-In-State today is bringing it home that she's really left us. No one will ever be quite like her and we're all the poorer in spirit for her loss. Rest in eternal peace, Your Majesty. Thank you for everything. 🕊️🤍

However, there is an important distinction to be understood between Queen Elizabeth and a future Queen Catherine. Queen Elizabeth is Queen REGNANT, where as Catherine may one day be titled Queen CONSORT. Queen Regnant means that Elizabeth II is the actual monarch (the Head of State). There is no King right now. Elizabeth inherited the crown following the death of her Father, King George VI, who did not have a son. As King George VI's oldest daughter, Elizabeth inherited the crown and became the monarch and received the title Queen Regnant, which differentiates her from a Queen Consort. There is never a King and Queen Regnant at the same time. If the monarch is male, then he is titled King, and if the monarch is female, then she is tiled Queen Regnant. If Catherine is one day titled as the Queen, she would be the Queen Consort...meaning wife of the King. She would be Queen only by virtue of her marriage to the King...not because she is of royal blood. William, as King, would be the monarch. All of the power and duty of the crown is vested in the monarch, not their spouse, who is also known as their Consort. So, Catherine's role as Queen would be completely different than that of Queen Elizabeth II. Queen Elizabeth II, as Queen Regnant, is the actual Sovereign, as a King would be if the monarch were male.

@@FrankIsAlwaysRight yes that is who Michael is speaking up. It will be the same with Camilla. Some have worried and speculated that Charles would make her Regnant, but I think the people would not stand for that. When he was given permission to marry her, I understand he signed a document stating he would not do that; Camilla would stay queen consort. Charles is going to have to be very careful about his behavior is king. He has a lot of baggage and there are many people who don’t wanna monarchy anymore. But he’s used to doing whatever he wants.

They have stepped back from the firm, but not the Queen. It's interesting that Brits don't use every possible opportunity to take jabs at Prince Charles, Prince Andrew, Prince Edward, and Prince Michael -- all have used their royal connections to enrich themselves. THAT is a disgrace to the Queen and the monarchy. Harry and Meghan did what they needed to do to protect their children, only after the firm refused to allow them to work part-time while still making a living without public funding. That's noble.

One of the most endearing qualities of Queen Elizabeth was how easily she was able to speak with the common person. She wasn't haughty or aloof, she carried herself like a queen and needed nothing else to show that she was. A truly extraordinary person in every regard, she will be missed by all no matter your nationality or social status. This from an American admirer.
