It's so confusing. A beautifully shot movie, with excellent cinematography.. about a killer tire and no plot.
@OrdemDoGraveto6 жыл бұрын
That's on purpose. The movie is a commentary about the relation between audience and film makers (specifically unpasionate ones).
@Menjoood6 жыл бұрын
@@OrdemDoGraveto True. The passion is evident. I guess my confusion stems from the subversion of expectations. You'd expect to see something cobbled together with no care and poor editing. The kind you've seen countless of times. Instead we get a stylized mess, only making me wonder 'what could have been'.
@Karmy.6 жыл бұрын
It's absolutely hilarious though
@OrdemDoGraveto6 жыл бұрын
@@Menjoood That's the whole point. The guy put more soul and effort into this movie about a killing tire then most of the block busters (I'm looking at you Michael Bay!). The cop is basically a director that's just doing it for a paycheck, he don't respect the audience or really care if the movie makes sense or not. The audience too, is mostly a bunch of morons mindlessly watching.
@skylx08126 жыл бұрын
Meh. It reminds me of a speech Jerry Seinfeld gave one year during the Emmys. It went something like "We really like us. We like ourselves so much we like giving ourselves and one another awards and making you watch us give ourselves and one another awards..." A film that is a commentary about the state of the cinema is just preaching the choir and further highlights the total lack of originality in the industry.
@OrdemDoGraveto6 жыл бұрын
This is not a horror movie. This is a meta-movie. It's a move about the relation between the audiance and the film makers. At the start you see all kinds of publics, the ones that are already bored even before the movie starts, the ones that are really excited about it, and the guy that goes deep and tries to understand the movie (even if the movie has no meaning at all). The whole time, the cop is just puting a show for them, a mindless violent show, but he just wants to be done with it, he don't have any passion for the project his doing. Think of the cop as Michal Bay hahaha

Panon Corvo da Tempestade I also feel that it’s making fun of all of the tropes that are prominent in these kinds of films. For instance, the woman that the tire is obsessed with is intentionally flat. Every time it looks like she’s about to participate in the scene, she’s either interrupted by a random event or pushed out of the shot. It kind of feels like the French director views women in American blockbusters as just being there and looking pretty.
@swanpride6 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I have only seen the Nostalgia Critic video on it, but even based on those snippets it is pretty obvious that it is meant to be a commentary on the interaction between the creators and the audience. If it is a good commentary is another question.
