One of the best detailed instruction videos I've ever watched.

I'm trying to help a friend with his EC9s, he took it apart and couldn't figure out where an "extra" spring/pin went and it ended up being the safety spring. This helped a lot, thank you

Excellent video. With that said, I believe the 4 1/2 lb trigger pull the LC9 & EC9S come stock with are plenty light enough for a sub compact concealed carry firearm.

This is the best disassembly/reassembly directions I've seen for my EDC. I carry in my front pants pocket with a DeSantis Nemesis holster, and when cleaning off 3 months of dust I wanted to be sure there was no pocket lint in there with the striker. I looked -everywhere-, and finally found enough info to brute force through it. Then found this video "by mistake". Thank You! (Bookmarked, Liked and Subscribed.)

I became aware of MCARBO several months ago. Since then I have ordered several of his kits. CZ75 PCR, SCCY, M&P both in full size and shield. His videos are the best. But when I took the time to view the " about me" video and the video for Mike Simpson's wife, it brought me to tears! Take the time to see these and you will understand! Thank you Chris for your service to our great country! My latest order in on the way including tee shirts for myself and my daughter. We will wear them will pride and share our experience with everyone we can! Thanks again Chris, Cecil Kintner, a supporter for life!

My LC9S Pro pulled an average of 4lbs out of the box, and after about a thousand rounds, now pulls a 3lb average on my digital Lyman. These are nice little shooters. I like that you make all these cool upgrade parts.

I just completed this upgrade. Awesome instructions. Issues I encountered had nothing to do with your instructions. 1. I found that my punch was NOT 1/16 when it did not fit to pull the pin for the striker bar safety. I used a pointy thin piece of metal to remove it. 2. Putting the cove back on the back I missed the multiple references to the "Striker Bar Sleeve" and only looked at the video (12:54) and ASSUMED I should push on the middle if the sleeve vs the edge. Once I figured that out I was golden. I am not a gunsmith by any means of the imagination but I am mechanically inclined. It felt great doing my own upgrade. I ended up purchasing a punch set and block from you and patiently waiting for the items to complete the upgrade. The punch set I received from you was correctly sized for 1/16th ! Can't wait to go to the range!

I just finished installing this kit on my Ruger LC9s. The most challenging part was getting the plastic back plate off. Despite pushing down the small button near the striker assembly and pumping the safety plunger it didn't want to come off. After prying with a small screwdriver it finally came off. This is one of my EDC guns and I think the lighter trigger pull will help improve my accuracy with it. The LC9s has two safeties on it, so I think it will still be safe to carry with the lighter trigger. The Help folks at M*Carbo replied very quickly to a couple questions I had while installing it. Thanks to them...

Installed this kit in my EC9s back in January and it was as easy as Chris showed. One thing I will say is that you should do this over a white towel which would make finding the little tiny parts easier to find when you drop them instead of dropping them on the multi colored dark rug under the table. Don't ask how I know ;-). The trigger pull on my pistol as about 4 1/2 pounds before and under 3 after the spring kit. I really like the pistol but HATE the sights. Ending up painting them so my old eyes could see them. Grand job M*CARBO on this kit

Awesome video. Hey so the EC9S captured spring and guide rod assembly are not replaceable correct? My wife hates the pullback on the EC9s slide. Could your company please make a version of the spring assembly which can be disassembled? If the LC9s and LC9s Pro don't have them either then you could be filling a huge gap in the market. Thank you!

Would this work in a Max9? Not that the Max9 trigger is terrible. Another thing, on any split trigger, is there a way to install a washer (shim) between the trigger and safety? I was thinking of fabricating some washers made of sheet plastic, but they have to be paper thin.

Can i push the pin from bottom and is room fore it .I hope after remove the slide i can reinstall the pin all the way as it should be. I hope you can help. Thank You

I also have the LC9s Pro. Used to have the regular LC9 with the mag and external safeties. I prefer the LC9s Pro because I don't want to worry about the safety when the feces hits the auto-oscillator. The pull on my original LC9 was ridiculously long. The Pro is better, but still seems a little hard to pull. I might have to try this spring kit!

I think a heavier pull kit would be more useful. A lot of folks think the LC9s is already too light for EDC. I happen to be one of them…the only thing that makes this gun even ownable is the manual safety (as with Glocks, the trigger safety is a placebo).

Why would you need a heavier trigger with a manual external safety? Makes no sense.
@sammyprestwood31824 жыл бұрын
Why didn't you remove the magazine safety while you had it apart removing magazine safety will give it an amazing trigger plus who needs a magazine safety anyway plus the guns just as safe as a Ruger LC9 pro I removed my magazine release safety catch because it's really useless
@MCARBO4 жыл бұрын
Removing most magazine safeties does make the trigger better but we wanted to keep the gun in it's normal configuration for the install video.

Do you have alot of side play? I remember that folks complained about loose clearances. I want a semi pro. Where I carry I appreciate the safety.

That Ruger is a pain in the ass. I wouldn't mess with nothing for a difference in one pound trigger pull. I'll stick with my glock and my Sig.
