As usual, a very, very helpful video for sprinters. I jotted down several points made that I will work on my next sprint session. Love all your videos and please keep them coming. If we follow you properly, you're the best coach out there.

IMO, I see a lot of focus on pushing off. There is lack of hip and trunk movement like Bolt. He's too stiff.
@albertog56845 жыл бұрын
Awesome chanel too. What do you mean by hip movement? I thought hips must stay locked in anteversion.
@JPGloria5 жыл бұрын
Great insight! Yeah, I briefly touch on the limited trunk movement and that hip movement! The hip movement may seem less than it actually is due to that slight diagonal angle, but still something to work on. I could have done a better job explaining that stuff. It could also be a hint to look at rotational hip movement, and I'd really need a frontal view to see!
@JPGloria5 жыл бұрын
@@albertog5684 ahh the back and forth, as well as rotational movement of the hip. And I wouldn't say the hips should be locked into anteversion, but rather constantly going through hip internal/external rotation as the hips going forward and back
@musclelessfitness20455 жыл бұрын
@@albertog5684 Thx, I hope you subscribe :D Hip movement is like a figure 8. You move your hips in 3D in order to cover the full range of your stride, that's how Usain Bolt and Tadesse do it. Unfortunately, people are taught to keep their trunk straight and contract their core, which is against the regular animal movement. You just end up hurting yourself.

What would be a good example of proper hip and trunk movement for sprinters? I thought the figure 8 motion was present in this guys form

He's a quad runner and has too much back mechanics . This is one of the reasons he doesn't run sub 11 . His body lean is slightly too far forward which is causing the excessive back mechanics and keeps him off balanced .
@arnie3655 жыл бұрын
Manuelcr7 lol you've obviously never seen Michael Johnson run nor Usain Bolt running at 17 breaking the world junior record . You clearly have a lot to learn.
