I have ropes with similar locking mechanism. It’s the same OEM mechanism from China. It broke after weeks of usage. Cross ropes uses a better mechanism with fewer points of failures.

way too much of work to re-size the rope. some ropes allow you just to slide the resizing notch (without cutting) and coil the rope within the handle. it probably will be a very good rope but just way too much trouble

That's too much work just to resize a rope. I don't think a casual jump roper is willing to go through all that effort.

@@mentaliusDK would be hard with really big ropes like the 1 and 2 lbs. i dont know if there are comercially available wire cutters that could cut such a rope. this ropes set is not to thick to be able to shorten with a good set of wire cutters. would be nice though. regular people would not have the tools to shortend the big fat ropes from the get strong set from crossrope. Hope the screws of this rope work better then the same locking mechanism that was on my rope from china. i think rush got the ideo of this rope from the mogold china brand rope that is sold on alibaba. on the mogold brand the screws did not fit correctly when i tryed to put the rope back in the end cap.

Ok RUSHIE I have just had my Ignite rope delivered 👍 wow these boys are heavy . I’ve not used heavy ropes before so I had a shock . Lovely box just like iPhones , iPads and most tec things these days . The carrier case was pretty impressive and definitely 10/10 . Adjusting the rope I found easy but just had to be sure cutting them like you’ve said in your great video to the right length. Handles are awesome you can see all the hard work that’s gone into designing these . From using the Money Rope to these heavy ropes is going to get me fit and build upper body strength . Would I change anything no way . The only one thing that I would like is a lighter rope to attach . I’m into rope jumping because I just love it . I’m learning all the time everyday thanks to RA . So final summary of the Ignite rope from me is a 10/10 will be 11/ 10 if you can make a lighter rope . Well done RA one very happy and lucky fan .

Would nice if Rush will develop a money-rope liked freestyle, pvc coated wire rope which is more durable and flexible during cold season. This rope as he mentioned, is made for workout (like cross-rope) which should be super difficult to do fancy tricks

These ropes look really good. Like that mechanism with the easy clip change - the 2nd method appeals to me. Love that they come with a hard case as well. I have two sets of Crossropes and they came with a crappy tote bag that is not fit for purpose at all.

I've been waiting for these to drop as even though they're undoubtedly made in China it's about supporting a Brit rather than buying another set of Crossropes. That said I couldn't see what warranty you are giving on these ropes, that's one thing Crossrope are very good at, if you're in America, is customer support. If we are spending a not insignificant amount on a set of ropes we need to know you've got our backs if there are any issues?

Crossrope uses a totally different design mechanism in their ropes. They aren't even sizable as well...so no infringement issues.

Nice design. One question: Will the attaching part on the rope will knock on the handle when you jump? I bought a few jump ropes with the same "attaching design" like IGnite. Each time when I jump, the attaching part will hit the handle, which makes the experience not happy. Is your rope improved on this part? I got the same rope. The attachments keep hitting my fingers and after getting swollen fingers I finally brought the cross ropes and never looked back. The spring that secures the hook broke and that’s the end of the rope.

Ignite is vastly different. Ignite ropes are sizable whereas Crossropes are not. The only way to shorten a Crossrope is to knot it or purchase a smaller size. Crossrope's fast clip system is totally different from Ignite's design. Ignite handles were designed from start to finish to reflect the Rush Athletics brand. The only similarity is that they are both mechanized interchangeable ropes. There are several interchangeable ropes currently on the market...none with the signature RA handles & that's what makes Ignite one-of-a-kind. Hope that helps clarify how unique Ignite truly is

As an owner of a CrossRope, I can say that these are very different in many ways. I don't believe the packaging is the same at all or anywhere near similar. CrossRopes come in a drawstring bag (only if you get the more expensive set, if you get the Lean Set then it comes with nothing to store them in) whereas this comes in a case. The mechanisms are different. The weights are different. Chill out. These are two different companies and this is nothing weird or abnormal about having similar products. There's a demand for heavier ropes and they are simply meeting that demand. I think RA's interpretation is great. Would definitely buy. And I love both companies. Balance man. We are all in the same game of advancing this jump rope community and seeing it flourish.
