I spent 8 years in total isolation, lost all my friends and even my family, I felt lonely as can be. I thought it would never end but a few years ago it did. Never lose hope if you're going through loneliness!

Buts it's like I run away from love yet I'm sad that I'm alone. I can watch myself sabotage my own happiness. I don't want to be this way but idk... It's like Kurt cobain said "I miss the comfort in being sad" it's like my brain has only known loneliness. I'm not sure what's my issue..

I was feeling lost. I was playing the character of “it’s all good and life is great. The truth is I was isolating myself more and more because I didn’t want people to know I was suffering with mental health issues. I couldn’t even work (and still don’t) I’m a graphic designer. I went to a talk on mental health and on the way I decided I was going to make a book on it and put all my passion into it. I decided to go to counselling on the journey and to be honest it’s the best thing I’ve ever done. I don’t care if the books not published or that I’m not working right now. All that matters is my recovery. I found real hope again and I wish everyone love, light and healing in your life. Thanks Russell as well it’s great to listen to your videos

Please seek the Lord. I feel all of what you wrote. Truly. I was there. Searching nonstop for the right career and relationship. I hardened my heart to get through. I got the nickname "little Bliss" bc I was playing the part of the free spirit, life is love thing.... but I ended up even more deeply depressed, hating myself since I was 5 years old. Never feeling good enough. Last year I had weird thoughts of not even wanting to live anymore. Things changed after I began to seek God. He got me to my lowest point in life and brought me back up. Jesus became my rock. He's the only way. He will help with any addictions or struggles you have. I promise. My life has never been the same. I've been on my walk just under a year. Jesus can and will change you and give you a new heart.

@B. Greene you're right RELIGION is a con. I wasn't promoting religion. I was suggesting a relationship with our Creator through Jesus Christ. I spent my twenties searching for the right career. Picking up passion projects, smoking weed to find inspiration which worked for a while here and there. But all of these DISTRACTIONS were keeping me from the truth of who WE ALL ARE IN GOD. I'm sorry you've had issues with religion and religious people. I had a Catholic Church tell me as a teenager that I wasn't Catholic enough so they wouldn't let me participate in bible study. So I totally hear you. But you all seem to be searching for something and you are still not finding true fulfillment in what you are distracting yourself with. Listen, everyone has their own path and journey I get that 100%. I know it may take a trip through new age to get you back to the creator of the Universe, the creator of everything and everyone on this planet. I did my own thing for my entire life, putting God on the back burner. But I'm telling you, if you have eyes to see and ears to hear, please reach out to your Heavenly Father through Jesus Christ. You're never going to fill the void you feel without a relationship with him. And in all seriousness you have talents given to you by God, talents he could use to help more people like us to find peace instead of depression. This all may seem like the worst advice to you now, but one day everything will make sense. I just hope it's not too late for you or anyone else who reads this. God bless.

@@cheshiregrin7892 WOW! Amen! I've been feeling so down lately (past couple days) regarding my walk and slacking and feeling far from Jesus! I've felt so guilty like I'm not doing everything right! Especially honoring the Sabbath (it's so confusing on how to rest properly!) I'm so glad what I said has helped you! All glory be to God! You sharing with me and reminding ME to stay close to Jesus is really something I needed to hear!! THANK YOU SO MUCH for YOUR encouragement! Wow. And you answered something for me too.... I realize I need a refresher of asking for the Holy Spirit! Stay blessed! :) And I'm really happy that you came across this thread. How wonderful! :) Everything we both are going through is being worked out by God. All the good, all the bad. It's His perfect order! His will be done! I pray that you stay on the narrow path and continue to be a light for others. :)

Yeah like people who think about money 24hours a day. I had a friend with a lot of money who lived in a really nice suburb me being the opposite found her conversations to be soul less with no joy. Her conversations left me feeling so empty. I have money now but the thought of having a conversation with her now would be so much worse because money to me is like having two packets of biscuits instead of one it’s no big deal....but gelling with people and talking about common interests or at least something of interest has much greater life force.

Being unloved by one person , the one that matters the most to you , can be so disheartening. It can seem like no one ever can love you just because this one person can't or doesn't. Just focus on loving yourself exactly like you would someone you're in love with. You are the most important person in your life. Show the world you love yourself first . By eating well, getting rest, exercising, listening to good music. Treat yourself to things you love. Do this and you will discover who you really are and what you want.

The want to feel love from a person is the Ego/mind interpreting emotional attachment as love. You can’t seek love outside of you! It’s like trying to see your own eye ball. When you meet someone that you love they are the mirror that reflects what you recognise to be love within yourself, your counterpoint, the frequency of pure awareness. ‘Your task is not to seek love, but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it’ Rumi.

It was me 2 years ago. Felt insecure, felt unloved and had low self esteem. When I started filling my own cup, loved myself enough that I didn’t feel the need to seek validations from other people, I noticed the fundamental changes in the world around me. Because I am now a happy and self-sufficient person, people love being around me. I have no fear connecting with people because I don’t care much what they think about me. As a result, people start responding the same way. Now I feel loveable and unstoppable because I believe in myself more than anything or anyone in this world ☺️

But I am unloved. Husband dumped me ten yrs. ago for another. Since then, I am a hermit. I don't trust. I looked inward and realize I am fearful, emotional and mentally unstable. So, I live alone with my dog and cat. I have tried many times, but I just don't understand other people, and they don't understand me. I accept that, but it hurts a lot. I don't get people who are married 30 years. How do they do that? I live one day at a time, I feel a little resentful that sobriety didn't make me perfect, even though I have stayed sober through all this. When I am 80 I am going back to booze, drugs and cigarettes. I just am. Twenty years to go. Meanwhile I try to live my life as a compassionate person from a distance. I smile and buy girl scout cookies when they come around. "All the lonely people, where do they all belong."

I used to feel lonely and depressed because I was always looking to others to love me in a way I never had growing up, in search of the divine unconditional love , which always set me up for failure, spirituality has tremendously helped me to love myself where I no longer am lonely or depressed , it's so therapeutic to do videos to share out experiences with each other', once we stop having expectations from others for love when we truly need to love ourselves that's when I started to heal

Thank you Russell for your love and compassion. I feel it. My father just transitioned and I was his Guardian for 10 years managing six caregivers. I am not grieving him so much, because he lived an awesome life all the way up to his death at 90; thanks to me. However, my "expectations" are perhaps those from the 70's, that "humans" around me would at least send me a card, or gather round me to support me in some way. I guess this is asking too much, and I have been left completely alone. Their loving presence would heal what I need right now, and in this situation, I do need outside support and love. If there is no more love and compassion on earth remaining, just beam me up now! I have always been the empathetic giver to so many, and at times like these, it really underlines the sick self centered world we live in. Why can't people be more loving; what happened to reciprocal care? I give without expecting, but there is also the law that people should love back, and especially when their friend's need it. Do we have to train everyone now on how to be a human being. WTF happened between 1970 and 2021 that has bred self centeredness?

This world is fucked up i was born in 1999 so i only experienced a small portion of actual decent human beings in my life when i was younger, now in my early 20's i'm pretty much isolated due to "friends" who tossed me aside like nothing and act like i don't even exist now the minute they have new friends i'm so bothered i can't even sleep at night anymore i just stay up listening to music to relax my soul but i hardly get enough rest i'm beyond stressed out, i miss the Early/Mid 2000's when i was a happy little boy with both parents and cousins next door that cared about me at the time i'd love to go back but unfortunately time machines aren't real so i'm stuck in this hellhole feeling unwanted by society

@@chadgrimes252 I was born in 1989. It seems after about 2010 the world really went to poop. I grew up in a small rural community and we had real connections within our communities that lasted decades. Now, people don't even know their neighbors, and secretly report them for violating the latest government edict. There is no more community. The technology that was supposed to bring us together is keeping us in isolation , glued to our screens interacting with each other virtually across vasts distances, but we never interact with those right beside us.
