You should look into the studies on profound sounding nonsense "Accepted science" is a homunculus of appeal to authority, and appeal to popularity Niether of which lend credibility to the merit of any given argument about any idea The idea that "time" moves differently is a patch in a sinking boat so to speak, that boat being the idea that time intrinsically exists, and isnt just an abstract idea humans came up with in order to organize effectively, the execution of labor

If you think about it, this is true, but only in the reality of God: we were planned and known by the Almighty before the beginning of time, born and lived during our lifetime, and born again to our eternal life, whether heaven or hell, after our death. We are eternal, but only in the domain of the Father.

It's funny, it's like Terence died and was reborn on the internet. His ideas have now reached so many. He used to come into the cafe I worked at on the Big Island. I had no idea who he was until just before he died. I lived on his old property (in this video) 5 years ago. It was quite an experience! Friendly reminder to respect the native ways when it comes to these things.

@@grainofsand4176 I'm sorry to say we did not vibe at all, maybe even clashed. The last time he came in though I had just listened to Art Bell's show about him and learned he was dying and that he was incredibly brilliant! I left him alone on the lanai with his girlfriend and simply put Israel Kamakawiwo'ole on the stereo. When one of the waitresses found out who he was after he passed she said no wonder they had such interesting conversations! I had taken him as an egotistical professor type and I just wanted to be a groovy young hippie. Lookinh back, he seemed stiff, but his trippy tshirts gave him away. Too bad, but since he died I ended up living on his old property and I have really connected with him in some kind of way. I used to barely be able to watch his videos because of the tone of his voice. Now, really it's like music to my ears. I think you just get used to it and it's just part of his vibration. His brother Dennis is still at it and his voice is a bit easier on the ears. ☮

@lui4789
@lui4789 3 жыл бұрын
Definitely not a problem. Psychedelics give us the download, the unveiling of the information we need through an experience. What kind of magic would there be to this contrast and duality based reality if there was a quick magic pill for everything? Our job is to put that message of the psychedelic experience into practice. With motor practice, comes mastery. Integration brings long lasting results into our life, that no money can buy. The point of struggle is to understand true gratitude, a diamond is a piece of carbon that undertook pressure extremely well. The lotus was born in the mud. Every rose has its thorn. We do not understand hot, until we experience cold. Duality and contrast are the way this third dimension teaches us, by going through the experience. By mastering our desires and temptations. By taking ownership and responsibility for our lives and how we feel.

@Heloise O'Byrne I should learn more. That is true. I must read some Carl Jung. I don't read enough. Too much time engaging in shallow arguments on social media. I would ike to think there was something else for us, but I can't. I consider myself with a reasonably good level of intelligence. But nah I can't grasp the spiritual thing. About 4 years ago my sister got an ear infection. I kept shouting at my her for cleaning her ears out with cotton buds. It was a very bad infection. She was so stubborn and would not take my advice. I could not emphasise enough how dangerous it was and that she must get medical attention soon. Then a few nights later my sister went into some kind of seizure. We called the paramedics and they placed her into an induced coma until they could assess what was going on. Basically she was already dead by "brain-stem death" but we had no idea at that point. The doctor said it is very rare but my sister died of meningitis of the brain. My mother had the decision to turn off the life support. My sister died in strange circumstances. She was just 38. She was engaged to be married. And excited about becoming a grandmother. She was a ray of sunshine. The party girl. Full of life and energy. Loved by all she truly was. Sorry it's depressing but my point is where did she go? If it is all synchronised then what was my sister synced to? Because the only thing I can compare it to is a PC shutting down.

I am not so sure that is a great way of viewing the concept. Our minds could not even have an opinion without the ability to perceive time. And although we lack the ability to perceive consciousness outside of the realm of time...we can attempt to infer. What does consciousness look like without time as a factor? Would consciousness even have meaning at that point, or would it simply be an infinity of algo results? That comment took me maybe 3 minutes to type. Those 3 minutes are equal to N oscillations of some atomic structure that we use for synchonization of time perception.

I shave to totally agree with Terrence, saying reality is far more strange than anything we could imagine. The things I’ve heard and read in books like ‘Seth Speaks’ and in books about the indigo children alone, talk about reality in a way I couldn’t imagine in a million years. Before my NDE last year, I was bored with my life. I had been everywhere I wanted and done most of my dreams and didn’t care if I died, cause I believed I’d accomplished everything too soon. Now, I realize I could live a million lifetimes and not experience most of it. This realization has made my life much more interesting then I thought it would ever be again.

Time is relative, anyone who has taken psychedelics knows.. time seems to stop when tripping, or seems to not exist. But since reality is perception based, we all perceive it differently. Theres absolute truth and relative truths, example to us, the sun sets, thats relative truth, in absolute truth the sun never sets. So its all relative perspective.
@py_a_thon
@py_a_thon 3 жыл бұрын
Using psychedelics that hacks the perception of how you perceive time does not seem to effect the macro-aspects of time in any significant way. If you dream for 20 minutes and it feels like 10 hours...did 10 hours pass or did you perceive 20 minutes as what you believe to be about 10 hrs?
@py_a_thon
@py_a_thon 3 жыл бұрын
Addendum: that also excludes the aspects of: you only perceive that 20minute dream as 10 hours...AFTER you wake up. Your mind seeks to define a perception that was non-real and incomplete.
@py_a_thon

I had a few trips where when I "woke up" 10 hours had seemed like 10 minutes. And I have had atleast 1 or 2 trips where I maintained full sentience the entire time: and 10 minutes was equal to 10 minutes. Before, during and after.

@@maninthemirror7881 That is not really a good explanation of the concept of time. You are describing perception, not time. That was great, thanks Russell ! More Ram Dass please, he really helped me find myself. In a weird way, Ram Dass cam into my life when my brother sent me audio files at the beginning of the 90s. Years later, I learned from my uncle that my father, deceased when I was 13 years old, also listened to Ram Dass in the 60s-70s before I was born. He recorded him talking on the radio and played it again and again to his brothers and friends, so they could better understand life and reality. It became a deep connection to the father I lost in my youth, before I could talk philosophy and spirituality with him. So hearing Ram Dass is like sharing a moment with my father.

"When mind is quiet, all is Self. When mind moves the world rises, So be Still, throw away everything, and be Free. Then, when mind is pure, you will see Self in all beings. Give up seeing with the outer eye and the Divine eye will open. To still the mind question the source of "I" Look into what does not come and go, and be That. The mind moves only because it is attached to something, So do away with what is dear to the mind. Withdraw from attachments and decide to return to Awareness-Being-Bliss by keeping Quiet. When mind touches Being it becomes Being. The concept of freedom removes the concept of bondage. Then use all your strength not to be called back by the concepts of old habits and dissolve into Freedom itself." ~ Papaji

“Time is believed to be composed of the past, present and future. Of these three, the past is past only in reference to the present and the present is present only in relation to the past, future is future only in reference to the present. So all three being interdependent, even for their very existence, it has to be admitted by sheer force of logic that none of them is real. Therefore, time is not. Experience is the only criterion by which the reality of anything can be decided. Of the three categories of time, past and future are not experienced by any, except when they appear in the present. Then it can be considered only as present. Even this present - when minutely examined - reduces itself into a moment which slips into the past before you begin to perceive it, just like a geometrical point. It is nobody’s experience. It is only a compromise between past and future as a meeting point. Thus present itself being only imaginary, past and future are equally so. Therefore, time is not.”

Also to Kates question, mushrooms told terence "what you call time we call man" if you do psychedelics you remove 'man' from the equation as you're a ball of energy and time no longer exists which is why it can feel like you've been gone for thousands of years but it's a matter of minutes which means the removal of 'man' to us is the removal of 'time' to them and what we perceive as the past or future are just events that's happened or will happen therefore we can visit these events, I don't like to call it time travel as time isn't relevant, I need to figure out a better way to describe this and a more accurate name for this.

Yes to the sublime poetry. Life these days is full of connected events that seemingly cannot be connected yet to the individual subjective experience, the connection is vivid. Try walking in the woods... stand, close your eyes, ground yourself, ask for something out of place for a woodland setting to appear on your path. Be specific, know it’s in your reality, and it will show itself... it will show itself with a sense of irony or humour. Focus on a wee cloud and tell the sky to be blue and clear... the cloud will dissipate.

So the universe is like a tapestry and we all have our own thread (like purpose) to add to this every increasing masterpiece. “A subliminal poetry to reality” very eloquently put. As a young scientist I used to note incidences such as the car wash theme as coincidence. However, they continued to happen and often seemed to coincide with a life event. As a family we have often remarked upon them and found them amusing. in the works of Graham Hancock, John Anthony West, Terrence McKenna, David Icke, Dr Steven Greer & Cameron Grant I found one common theme; consciousness. It led to an epiphany which turned my previously held paradigm on its head and I now believe that: Consciousness is preeminent in The Universe and matter is created from that. We live in a conscious universe and we are part of that consciousness, woven into it as we are the fabric of the physical universe. We can manifest reality through focussed thought and attention. We have known this for thousands of years and it is why people of all denominations pray collectively in groups. (Incidentally, it took a Jack Grealish goal at Villa Park for the penny to drop with me 🤣) I now look for the subliminal poetry in reality and consider those “coincidences” to be “synchronicities”. It feels like The Universe is trying to get your attention. Gently slapping your face and saying “come on, wake up. Something important is about to happen”.
