A studio here in an average neighborhood in Los Angeles , goes for 1500 USD . I haven't seen any this spacious. Clean and secured . Fantastic deal in my opinion.

Russell is giving you a good piece of advice. First travel around, see where you like more (climate-wise). With the termporary residence you won't be able to move around that freely, you'll settle in one place. That's a rule.

But with a temporary one (the one you get after getting a visa, if approved), every time you move out of a certain region, you lose your residency address (which is the most difficult part to get because homeowners don't like registering people in their apartments). So every time you move out of the region, you lose this "residency address" and become officially homeless (not registered anywhere). And you need this residency address in order to get the papers done and have a legal status. Before moving to any country always study the migration laws in order to avoid trouble. If you buy an apartment, you can get a residency there, as you are your own master. Arend (Countryside Acres) complained about it in his last video - it's really problematic to get residency address for big families (especially if there are children). Arend's family got help from a local church community. They were really lucky.

I don’t know what you’re talking about. Not every apartment is $3,500. I’ve never seen such a small studio in the U.S. (maybe only in Manhattan). I used to live in a very nice, luxury studio in Boston for $2,400 per month, and it was 3-4 times larger than this one.

This is not a typical Russian apartment. This is a new type of Russian studio apartment. Russians are not used to such small studio apartments. Even a one-room apartment has a separate kitchen.

Great video. So close to Moscow. The grounds are really nice, Great exercise areas for all ages. Better than what is offered in new apartments in Sydney. Underground parking is great but should be included in the rent as in the case in Australia. Cute name “ Love and Pigeon “ or “ Love and Dove”. I prefer Love and Dove as it rhymes. Apartments are generally not furnished in Sydney. The apartment you showed us is so cramped, 34sqM, but i guess, it’s a studio that’s why. The bathroom is quite neat and lovely. Hey Russell, here are some ideas and suggestions I would like to share with the building management because I care and I love Russia. 1. To prevent weeds from growing between pavement use a Sealer hardscape or something similar. 2. A thicker Metal posts fence is needed for better stability and long-lasting fence. 3. Please prevent stains on the pavement because it makes the new apartment look old and badly maintained. 4. Idea: I think having the kids' play area at the back of the apartment is better (Future projects). 5. Please trim the grass edges when mowing. 6. Bikes and Prams need a rack installation. For Americans, -25C is -13F, pretty darn cold. 34 sq meters = 366 sq ft. As for the mailboxes, people don't send birthday cards, Christmas cards or birth announcements by mail in Russia? It looks very nice and comfortable. The only thing I always find odd about apartments in Russia, and Japan, is the washing machine but no dryer. I am surprised that the combo-washer/dryer machines are not installed.

In some family apartments you might see the high quality combo washer dryers. Almost everyone has a cloth horse for drying clothes. No one sends cards in Russia. I've never heard of it in all the years I've lived here.

Times change and trends change. For example, during the Soviet Union, it was important to build new cities and towns, people went to new places with excitement. Then the fashion changed. In the near future, everything will change again (because people get tired of the monotony), there are already projects for new cities (Dobrograd, on the Black Sea coast, on Sakhalin, etc.)

Strange question - why arrived cities? City - it is industry/logistic, it is factories where you need in one place to gather a lot, sometimes thousands people. As example right now in Moscow almost finished new building for space agency, in it at one time will be work 20 thousands people. Think about it - 20 thousands. How do you imagine placing all this people in suburbs areas? How they will came to work, back to home, where they will park own cars and so on… Another questions: police and fire stations - they works by square, not density. It means for such areas you need much more people. You need much more roads. You need much more shops. That shops regards to low density of people will be small, it means they will provide less goods for more price. What about schools? In Moscow exist schools for several thousands kids at same time. Regards to that in that schools a lot of misc additional stuff, e.g. class of robots, mechanics, all kinds of sport and so on. In small school you can’t provide all of this. Okey, let’s open class of robots in small school and it will be visited by 1 kid, because rest are not interested. What the point? Same with medical help. In city you can build one huge center with all kinds of help and stuff. When you have small population it is impossibly. You can’t spend few billions of dollars to build hi-end health center for hundreds of people. There are a lot of more examples (from museums to theaters). Small density city is pointless and backward a-priory. High density city is far more better. Often is only way (as example with this new building for space agency where is working 20 thousands people at same time for better productivity).

Because the apartments are all finished yet, the concierge isn't in the lobby. Eventually there would be someone there. No tv, but you can add one very easily.

Depends on where you're going to move. In big cities, especially Moscow and St. Petersburg, people speak English (but mostly young people). In smaller cities and towns there can be difficulties in speaking English to local people.

How well do they speak Russian in the US? They speak English just as well or a little better in Russia. Look at the immigrants in your country who don't know English. You don't want to be like that in Russia, do you? You are right in saying that you study Russian in advance. Russian is not only for communicating with each other. It is also a huge culture that you can't understand without knowing the language. Good luck with your move. It is not easy, but it is worth it.

If you want to communicate with service people (restaurants, bars etc) I can ensure you you wont starve. Dont forget that English and Russian share a lot of vocabulary Water - voda Coffee - kofe Pasta - pasta Registration- registracija Bus - avtobus Taxi - taksi Station - stancija You literally would need to know 100 vocabularies to get by fairly well. Now if you want to get into deep conversations and meet people, you would need to learn more Russian (in case they dont speak English). But you get my point, you would survive.

Moscow region, I live alone in a 1-room apartment, a brick house, the walls on the street side are 60 cm, the total area is 51 square meters, plus a loggia. My 12-story house was built in 2007, unfortunately they don't build like that anymore, it's too expensive. For me, this studio is not for living, but for coming home from work, taking a shower, having dinner, falling asleep, waking up, drinking coffee in the morning and then going back to work. I wouldn't want to live in such an apartment, there's too little space for me.

Probably fine as a temporary rental for a single professionally busy person coming back home to sleep but nothing more than that. More promising looking from outside than inside. The rental price is fine for average westerner having an income equivalent to several thousand dollars per month. But to come down for any longer retirement stay there I do not see any point for most of them. Too cold, too dark during long winters and what to do around during such days? Clean, orderly but not cozy surrounding.

Yes, it is a good price, I value a lot new buildings. It is in a quiet residential area, well provided with parks and shops, and well communicated with the business center in Moscow. I am surprised at the price, not so expensive, I was reckoning about 180.000 euros. 116.000 euros is pretty affordable. The profit for rent is 4.5% not bad

in modern apartments, the insulation is not very good, but in this case the law works - in Russia you cannot listen to music loudly later than 23:00, and construction noise is limited to 20:00

These micro districts were always around in Russia. Of course where developer design the region, they put a few more things in place. But in older areas, you will still get schools and shops very close by. Along with playgrounds.

Да и кто в своем уме будет в студии делать детей, да еще и больше двух, а студии и однокомнатки сейчас - больше половины рынка. Потом в доброй половине окон такой новостройки вообще не горит свет, а во второй - живут мигранты по два-три человека на комнату. У меня до 2019 года тоже была студия в новостройке, знаю, о чем говорю. Потом продал, и не жалею.

My former colleague living in Moscow, he is cyber security engineer. His salary is ~$3500 (on hand after all tax). At the end of year he also get bonus (so-called 13th salary), it differ and based by results of year ($5000-$10 000). Not so long ago he bought second apartment (rents out). TBH, I think it's overpriced. You can rent 3 times that size furnished apt (2 bedroom with large kitchen) in serbia for 500 euro. And at a very good location with great connections to the center (public transport). So in my opinion and comparatively, this is very expensive.

У самой трешка, но я сижу в кабине 9 кв.м, а остальные две комнаты не посещаю месяцами, ну как бы и чего мне там делать? Зачем купила трешку - сама не знаю, были деньги, вот и взяла. I could not live there. I live in a town of 1400 people, wide open 40 square miles and traffic is minimal. I could not breathe in a big city anywhere in the world. I would be suffocated.
