The adventure continues! Washington DC was fun, but it’s time to travel south toward Charleston, SC. But first we visited with Jeremy Paris in Annapolis, MD and work through some parking ticket issues. We also finally had a chance to replace our spare, spare at Discount Tire. We ended finding an ocean front state park in Myrtle Beach.

We did the submarine tour when our boys were 3 & 4. The 3 yr old stuck his head between the railing and the bars were behind his ears and he couldn't get his head out. I laughed so hard at the panic of passersby! LOL I just held his ears to his head and he came right out! He's 35 now. We may be due for another trip back there.

The sub was still there... it has seen better days from all the rust. Your story sounds like something that would happen to us! The stuff that doesn't go as planned makes for the best memories... so we are far more open to going with it now.

I am proud of you. A paper map!!! Not many use or even know how to read these days... Years ago, I took my little ones to feed the ducks popcorn. Hundreds came, It was nice and fun until we were almost out of popcorn. We had to dump the rest and run for our lives. Ducks can get ugly...

Great editing, I watched this while eating my breakfast and it got me thinking of what my mother experienced in WW2 in Chatham UK. She was a nurse in the civil defence. Chatham docks were bombed most nights and one night a bomb on a parachute dropped nearby and blew out the doors and windows of her flat. Luckily she was blow into a cupboard and only suffered delayed shock when she reported for duty later that night. They had cardboard over the windows during the rest of the war. My mother Miriam lives with me in Southport north west UK and she is 100 next Sunday. We are having a party lunch for friends and family with lots to celebrate. Best wishes to you all Sue

Amazing story. My grandfather was born in Liverpool in 1897 and fought in WW1. Not too far from Southport. We'll defiantly be traveling to your neck of the woods, but don't have a date yet. There are many subscribers from the UK... which we love! Thanks for the comment.

Hello from Columbia SC!!! We love the Charleston Area, Mnt Pleasant, Shem Creek.....great food and shopping!!! When I was a scout leader we took our scouts down every year and spent the weekend on the Yorktowns!! We got to sleep in the berthing area's, eat in the galley and the boys loved it!!! We did a "Ghost Hunt" on Saturday nights and had movies in the main area.....it was amazing!!! Yall stay safe and thank you for sharing your adventures with everyone!!

Next time you come through NC, VA, SC, and GA you should hit the Great Smoky Mountains. Myrtle Beach is very touristy and crowded in the summer.

You guys were near me. I live in Winston Salem, and we always camp in Myrtle Beach every summer at Pirateland Campground. It is a little expensive, but it is so much fun. They cruise in golf carts at night and have everything you need. There really isn't even a need to leave the campground except to sight see or go shopping.

Discount Tire is the best. I purchase all of my tires from them - like every 6 - 8 months depending on if they are for the truck or trailers. Myrtle Beach is the best - #1 place to go for all South Carolina school graduates and spring breakers. I was stationed in Charleston for 4 years and I loved it there.

we live in florida and key west is our favorite place. we stay at lazy lakes rv resort, it's a nice campgroud with a great pool about 30 minutes from downtown key west. it's not fancy but we usually leave in the morning for a day in kw and don't get home til dark so why pay big $ for the campground when you are not there much. it's typically half the cost of the other rv parks, check it out. if you looking for an interesting day trip go to the dry tortugas national park, it ain't cheap but it is awesome, the cost includes a two hour boat ride on a nice boat

We loved Key West! We ended up saying on an ocean front site at El Mar just a few miles from Mile 0. Because we were on the cusp of the season, we got a descent rate. Still a lot, but better than their winter rate. We didn't make it to the tortugas, but we'll do that next time. We hit the entire State of FL in OCT and were moving fast! It was our fav State on the trip so far. Will be back.

There is an awesome tea plantation just south of Charleston, SC called American Tea Plantation. They take a short tour of the plantation in old trolley cars and they show you how the process the tea. They have dozens of teas to sample. The owner lives in the property and is frequently at the gift shop. Ask him about the time he found an alligator in his pool.....yep, his pool!!

You have GOT to get there! 73 acres for outdoor aircraft, 5 hangers with special displays, every plane (and helicopter) probably ever made, including Russian and Chinese MIGS, a hanger devoted just to the B17, etc. Retired Air Force guys that give tours and answer questions. It's a great place, guaranteed!!!

Love Charleston. When we were there a couple of years ago we did a ghost tour of the USS Yorktown one night. During WW II the pilots had a dog that they brought aboard and its ghost has been seen roaming the ship. We actually heard it barking on the flight deck! Our tour guide was a retired police officer and he has had several ghostly encounters aboard the ship. When we were in the small exhibit about he Charleston Navy Yard we heard footsteps coming down the steps behind us. There were 6 of us plus the tour guide on the tour and we were all standing still. The only other person on board was a security guard who was at the opposite end of the ship. Great night!

Pretty much seen all the KYD videos now and I wish I had a dollar for every time I’ve heard Marc say some variation of, I don’t like museums but this one I like. Marc, hate to break it to you but you like museums.

Hey, Gang! Thanks for a little taste of my old home. Now a Zonie like you (Phoenix), my late father was career AF, and we were stationed at the old Myrtle Beach AFB from '59-68, when he was re-stationed to Luke here in the Valley. Haven't been back to MB since the early 80's, but it was fun to see bits of it. Keep up the good work, and stay safe!

Near Myrtle Beach, don’t miss Huntington Beach State Park (a few mile south). We spent an afternoon there Summer 2018 and there seemed to be a lot to see and explore, including some gators up close in the ponds on the road into the park. We never made it into the Atalaya Castle there because the beach was just too nice.

Hey Guys! We really enjoy your videos! just recently bought our first RV and we enjoy camping. You guys give us good ideas! I am from Garner, NC which is where that Cabela's is located. Hope you guys enjoyed your time in the Carolina's. Ya'll would have really enjoyed the Outer Banks.
