RX7 QUAD ROTOR 26B FD3S SHAKEDOWN AT TSUKUBA CIRCUIT

Today was a good day. The first outing for the Scoot tuned, custom built Hiroshima screamer 26B powered FD3S RX7 at Tsukuba circuit and after just a handful of installation laps we managed a 59.875 second lap, which capped the day off beautifully.
The best thing about the result is that despite traffic and a slipping clutch, the car has MASSIVE potential and surely with the right setup and some more fine tuning and aero improvements, we can get into the 57's...
Which for the privateer, 600hp naturally aspirated rotary is a MASSIVE achievement.

From my understanding, it is because there is a hot and cold side. So at a certain temperature a slight warping allows for oil seepage, or something like that.

mrjace3 yeah. The levin impressed me more that the driving of the fd. A third of the power and still kept up. Tscuba is a technical track though. Anywhere else the levin would struggle.

Doesnt matter wheter one knows the setup of the AE86. The FD should've been all over it on this track. It's faster with shitbox suspension. You do know what shitbox suspension is, right? Oh wait, I'm guessing you don't. Well let me put it this way, the opposite of shitbox suspension is full aluminium double wishbone suspension (which the FD has). Shitbox suspension is mcpherson struts up front. Come on, everybody knows this shit except for you. Now, I hate to go into shit talking, but with all these millenials commenting on stuff they know absolutely jack shit about, it's kind of hard not to. I apologize regardless if I hurt your wittle feelings.

looks like something to do with timing retardation... I'm not educated in these things but I'm assuming it's a combination of timing the exhaust to occur before the fuel is burned, and then the heated exhaust pipe causing it to ignite...

ALIENdrifter66 What? 2-stoke engine came after four-stroke engines. In any case you make it sound like rotary engines have been around forever, the first prototype was in 1957, that's after WWII. While a 4 stroke engine had a working model in the mid 1800's, it's a bit unfair to think that many advancements can really be made in any time soon when it's taken so long for piston engines to achieve what they can now. I mean even Atkinson cycle is only really starting to be utilized and that was also developed in the 1800's
