Oh, also, I loved the slow-mo in the tutorial, it really helps to see exactly how you're doing it, ie body positioning, etc. Do more of those slo-mos for the tutorials please. :)

Hi Ryan, I started following the channel very recently, right after the video with TJ. I really love your riding style, your videos make me wanting to be more daring so last weekend i put myself into learning how to do nose rolls and this video helped me a lot :) I was scared at first but the moment i finally threw my weight over it was magical. All or nothing, and all went well. Next time on the slopes i'm going to practice some more.. I won't stop until i'll be able to do it like @1:39

FACTS - whenever talking about a snowboarding trick, you MUST act it out with our fingers with an imaginary finger board or it wont make sense lol . never realized I was doing them wrong. I do them exactly like she did in the beginning . going to have to work on that . thanks bro.

Got the same problem. Can't make it right from heel to heel for a long time because of overrotation that always forces me to land on a toe edge. I guess "90 degree" is the key! Will try tomorrow. Thank you!

@henning_jasper
@henning_jasper 5 жыл бұрын
This was exactly what I needed, just tried them yesterday, my switch nose rolls are really really good an solid but my regulars not, I automatically overrotate when I land and have to switch to my toeside. Any tip on how to stop the rotation? Maybe just do less of a rotation since I try a 180 and not just a 90? And a video on backside noserolls would be sick! Especially on when to change the direction of where I look! :)
@RyanKnapton
@RyanKnapton 5 жыл бұрын
The over-rotation is so easy... Use your hands to point to where you want to go on the landing. My next tutorial on these is gonna feature that as I've seen it work for people. ✔️

I can only do the "dangerous" one.. been trying today and its so much harder "finessing" like that.. its totally different.. cause you land back on your heels and if im not washed out, my weight and unfortunately muscle memory just pushes me to go with the toe edge like Katie on the vid and continue carving left instead of counter turn.. I have a lot of unlearning to do :))

Nice video. Yes the way ryan does the noseroll its way easier and its easier to do it at high speeds. But sorry it just doesnt look nearly as good as the edge-changing version. When ryan does it at really highspeeds and buttery smooth as always ;-) sure it does look good. Im just saying that it would look way better if he did the full 180 version. Keep up the good vids though ;-)

Lolol awesome! Whenever i enter switch, i go full noob, i hate it. I'll be going fast and carving hard, but as soon as i enter switch, it's like i never had been on a board before. It's depressing at best lol staying on the same edge tho seems like something i could work on without too much risk of injury(I'm more fragile these days) great vid!
