2010 BMW M6 Coupe SMG Start Up, Exhaust, and In Depth Tour

Awesome car, got the chance to test drive one of these beast it put a enormous smile on my face. Naturally aspirated V10 is epic. The only thing you have to watch out for is too make sure the Rod Bearings are replaced around 60k, if not there goes you're engine, but once you replace those this car is as reliable as a honda accord, you have to watch your oil, to make sure it's not low. Before you drive this M6 you have to warm the engine to a certain temperature before you drive it very important. The exhaust noise just oozes exotic sound. Future classic for sure.

An old friend of mine had a 2010 M6. The car was incredible, such quick acceleration it was brutal yet it remained so smooth when just cruising it felt like you were riding on glass. Amazing car but I couldn't even imagine the cost to maintain one! I guess if you can afford a M6 in the first place, you definitely have the money to maintain it lol

lol 12:18 - brightness, its a button to change shift speed.The BMW SMG transmission has both automatic and manual shift modes. Inside the different modes there are different programmes, with six settings to control the upshift/downshift speed for manual operation, and five settings for automatic mode. BMW's final SMG gearbox, known as SMG III, was at the fastest shifting gearbox at the time (2006) recording a 65 millisecond shift time in its most aggressive mode - a time only surpassed by Ferrari with the 599 GTO (60 milliseconds) and later the Lamborghini Aventador (55 milliseconds).

In 5-10 years from now we will look back on this engine as one of the greatest BMW ever made. This was a masterpiece and as far as I am concerned makes this car a future classic. People who truly know cars know that we will probably not see something like this from BMW for the rest of our lives. This wonderful era is over and now we are stuck with forced induction. It's not just about power, it's about the delivery and the way it sounds, and I'm sorry, but a V8 will never sound as good as this.

they are all for gear shifting... paddles are usually used when racing (having both hands on the steering sheel)... the one in the middle is for one hand driving and when doing 3 point turn and shit, when you do palm steering etc.... its just for the users preference.

@iAaronHD Because 1) Its a larger engine and to make its peak hp, it has to work harder 2) The same can be said if you have a weak engine pulling something heavy....uses more gas 3) The number of cylinders an engine has its also a contributing factor. Since this car is a v10, to run this engine, certain amount of gas is sent through each of the 10's cylinders injectors (fuel-injected). Keep in mind a V8 drinks a lot more gas than a V6 engine. @rforracing Could be the AC. Inside the car you can see the AC is swiched on and the cold pipes that carry the fluid will often collect moist like a cold soda bottle and when he revs the engine they shake and the water falls off. Have no idea if it's true, but our car does that.

jeff ferguson​ don't get me wrong, it is one of my favorite cars. The reason they sell so cheap is because they get horrible fuel economy. About 165-190 miles to a tank ( which is like 2-3 days worth of gas ) if you are LUCKY and I mean VERY lucky. They, like most German cars, are expensive to maintain and are expensive to insure especially THIS M6. I plan on getting one of these someday, but not right now. The V10 M6 is one of my favorite cars.

***** $32k out the door with 39k miles. Fully loaded with heads up display and sports package. Also came with the balance of the bmw cpo maintenance warranty until August next year. Dealer through in another 3 year warranty for my troubles. I traded in a 2009 clk550 for it.

@iAaronHD With the gas prices as high as they are and seeing as the BMW gets only 13mpg in the city, I doubt it make it their daily driver. Its not worth risking when you think daily driving... the tight parking spaces, the traffic and how ppl drive, and also don't forget the people that key the doors because they're jealous that you own a $100,000+ car. Nowadays I see a lot of ppl driving Honda Civics near my neighbourhood. Makes me proud to own my Olds

@iAaronHD sometimes yes, other cases it doesn't. When you have engines with larger size displacements with many as 10 or 12 cylinders, gas mileage is the price to pay for power. For the car I own, I use a little more gas than my previous car, both of them having 6 cylinders
