Something to note about the Necron's Teleportation maneuver; while most of them do show the telltale bright green flicker of teleportation back to their Resurrection Chambers, the first Warrior that Brutus impales with his chainsword does not does this; instead, it crumbles into dark green dust. I read something online that says when Necron personality storage devices are destroyed, it renders any effort to restore them moot, so instead, their Necrodermis Bodies self-destruct in a manner analogous to teleportation in order to confuse the enemy as to their actual losses.

Important note about the Helsreach incident: Grimaldus was more upset about the fact that with the Salamanders falling back the Templars could not push to slay the ork warboss and potentially gain a foothold in a war they were already losing. The Salamander's justification for this is that they fell back to protect the civillians from potential ambushes. Which never occured. And even if it did the death of that warboss could have saved thousands of lives that died from his continued leadership which almost definitely included the people in those bunkers in any case. The whole point of this scene was to highlight that while being compassionate for your fellow man is a righteous trait, it needs to be tempered with an understanding of the larger picture of war. Letting a few hundred die could have saved thousands more. Also congrats if you managed to get through this whole wall of text :D

@@Cynycter under heavy fire? The necrons go full storm trooper until they kill Brutus. They literally are firing 30 feet off target at some points. And the sequence of events was; they are under heavy fire while Brutus was recovering the gene seed. Then as they exit that room, Sa’Kan throws a krak grenade which causes a huge explosion. From that point on all we see is Sa’Kan and Brutus running with Brutus in the lead. No more enemies, no more shooting. Just Sa’Kan emerging wildly and looking back to see Brutus hit by fire. So at some point he just sprinted past Brutus and stopped caring about if he makes it until he is out of the structure. That’s what the show portrays to us. It’s just a lazy way to portray space marines in my opinion. First off, how are they not on a closed vox channel? Sa’Kan would have known immediately when Brutus was hit. Second, I just refuse to believe Sa’Kan would be so scared, so self concerned, that he would run by a fellow space marine and leave him in the dust to fend for himself. You can call my take bad. But it is based off what we were shown. Your take inserts scenes that didn’t exist but we can both agree they should have existed.

The Deathmark was right in that a Destroyer was better suited to eliminate the survivors but in the grander scheme, Szeres did not want the survivors in pieces but intact for experimentation.
