finally an animation where the dialog between astartes is well written (and not just overly poetic) and they are competent at combat, no more missing shots, no more walking around a warzone without a helmet, no more pointles melee. they are efficient and competent as they should be. (at first i thought the reload scene was silly af but then i remembered that sakan is missing an arm). I hope there is more from where this came from.

Something to note about the Necron's Teleportation maneuver; while most of them do show the telltale bright green flicker of teleportation back to their Resurrection Chambers, the first Warrior that Brutus impales with his chainsword does not does this; instead, it crumbles into dark green dust. I read something online that says when Necron personality storage devices are destroyed, it renders any effort to restore them moot, so instead, their Necrodermis Bodies self-destruct in a manner analogous to teleportation in order to confuse the enemy as to their actual losses.

Important note about the Helsreach incident: Grimaldus was more upset about the fact that with the Salamanders falling back the Templars could not push to slay the ork warboss and potentially gain a foothold in a war they were already losing. The Salamander's justification for this is that they fell back to protect the civillians from potential ambushes. Which never occured. And even if it did the death of that warboss could have saved thousands of lives that died from his continued leadership which almost definitely included the people in those bunkers in any case. The whole point of this scene was to highlight that while being compassionate for your fellow man is a righteous trait, it needs to be tempered with an understanding of the larger picture of war. Letting a few hundred die could have saved thousands more. Also congrats if you managed to get through this whole wall of text :D

I mean, he diverted paths from Brutus for maybe a 10 second walk. Then it took him over 30 seconds, assuming he is also sprinting at this point, to get back to Brutus. So either he is disloyal or the creators of this show have no idea how time and distance work. I choose the latter.

@@Cynycter under heavy fire? The necrons go full storm trooper until they kill Brutus. They literally are firing 30 feet off target at some points. And the sequence of events was; they are under heavy fire while Brutus was recovering the gene seed. Then as they exit that room, Sa’Kan throws a krak grenade which causes a huge explosion. From that point on all we see is Sa’Kan and Brutus running with Brutus in the lead. No more enemies, no more shooting. Just Sa’Kan emerging wildly and looking back to see Brutus hit by fire. So at some point he just sprinted past Brutus and stopped caring about if he makes it until he is out of the structure. That’s what the show portrays to us. It’s just a lazy way to portray space marines in my opinion. First off, how are they not on a closed vox channel? Sa’Kan would have known immediately when Brutus was hit. Second, I just refuse to believe Sa’Kan would be so scared, so self concerned, that he would run by a fellow space marine and leave him in the dust to fend for himself. You can call my take bad. But it is based off what we were shown. Your take inserts scenes that didn’t exist but we can both agree they should have existed.

The breakdowns working around any problems regarding showing episode material, spliced with very insightful descriptive interjections of the lore, are skillfully handled. Consistency of these ingredients make for a well made and easily digestible cinematic treat. Not only for the fans of old (like myself) but also for newcomers to the hobby. Balance is key and very hard to achieve showcasing any given fictional universe in a broad, all encompassing presentation. Secondly. I never watch any of the political side of this channel, as i am chock full to the gills in bollitics (here in the U.K.). Lastly. Please keep up the hard work Connor. 16:18 Progenoid glands look DELICIOUS! Poor Brutus. He started as a bit of an a$$hole, but I really came around to liking him and his synergy with our boy Sa'Kan. He was duty-bound and did his job as a proper Ultramarine, and a proud son of Guilliman! I'll miss him, I really will.

When they just talk, this is well written & the voice-actors perform very good, reminds me of the "Mass Effect" games. When they took the seeds, that reminded me of "Space King", for whatever reason. This aside, I do believe this should be available on BR to reach more fans, including that show on Amazon Prime. Also, that Salamander by now is kinda famous, he should get his own movie. "Forgiven & forgotten!" 👍🏻 They should do something with an Salamander Dreadnaught protecting children against orcs, I think this could be also funny.

3:00 I think this skorpek(?) destroyer is the same one Sa'kan fought in Pariah Nexus. This destroyer has a broken neck. In Pariah Nexus Sa'kan "killed" a destroyer by stabbing a chainsword down its neck.

It occurred to me that Illuminator Szeras wanted intact bodies for his experiments, dead or alive. This makes the Deathmark's deployment more sense. The Deathmark's gun is a weaponized off switch for whoever happens to be hit, shutting down the central nervous system, leaving the body intact and eliminating potential disruptors to the Illuminators' experiments. The Deathmark was right in that a Destroyer was better suited to eliminate the survivors but in the grander scheme, Szeres did not want the survivors in pieces but intact for experimentation.
