More talent in your little finger than many of us in our whole body. Really creative, love it.

Interesting trick. You can achieve something similar using an effect rack on the Serum channel and automating the chain selector to change effect (or no effect).

i do similar thing with send chanel.. you could also leave it pre fader or post, send knob functions the same as your utility automation..

Never heard of this technique but very cool and seems easy enough to learn but hard to master. Thanks man!

Are there any benefits from using this technique vs using the fx on a send and automating the send knob?

same same but having it directly next to the instrument's channel is nice

Take a stereo delay to a hi-hat pattern. Then adjust the send in a musical pattern unrelated to the pattern of the hi-hat. You can get some really interesting ghost notes and feels out of it and adjust it to taste.

I'm just wondering something. Is it best to mono your bass through the utility plug in or is there another way that has better quality? Like through the EQ or some other way?

There are a few ways: 1. Have a separate sub. This should be mono. (Just don't use reverb, delay, stereo widening etc. on it) Don't forget to Low Cut all your "normal" basses below ~150 Hz 2. Use a M/S EQ and use a Low Cut on the Side part between 100 and 300 Hz. 3. Sound Design your basses so that they are mono - most basses don't need stereo after all. If you produce EDM/Techno (which I'm just gonna assume, its Sadowicks channel), you don't want a lot of stereo in your Track. Kick, Snare, all the basses… work better in mono (Most clubs don't even have stereo sound systems). You don't want your kick and bass uneven in the stereo field, where half of the ppl in the club are dying of bass and the other half don't get anything. I like stereo FX like delays, reverb etc. on high parts, percussions, arps and chords, just not on the main parts (fat drums, basses, leads, lead vocals).
