Thank you yet again for introducing me to a part of this amazing world I never would have known otherwise. Matt and Amy, you truly are head and shoulders above all the other sailing channels. Thank you for being true blue sailors, actually sailing around the world and taking me along. I have watched all your episodes from the beginning and am now very excited because you are about to visit my country, South Africa. I live in Johannesburg but have been travelling into the African bush for twenty years in my 4x4. I am excited to see footage about South Africa and to hear your thoughts about a country that has been through an enormous amount of corruption (in excess of R1 trillion) mainly by the ANC government in the past decade, but still somehow manages to retain a charm and allure that keeps my wife and I here. There is a huge diaspora out of the country by middle class professionals - around 90,000 people a year - and that includes my two children. For all that, it is a beautiful country with many amazing people. I hope you enjoy a wonderful time here with us.

Hi Amy and Matt. This video brings back fond memories, as I sailed for 15 years in Mayotte and Madagascar. The trimaran I built to explore the desert lagoons of Madagascar is called “Trimaki”, from “Trimaran and Maki”!
