Funny i was just thinking of this at 14:45 (fog scene deck walk), and sort of guessed they used those 3D cameras on poles.. But indeed it does looked like a drone shot. Then i scrolled down quickly, happy to find your comment, which meant i'll get to see behind the scene of those shots later on.. :)

Excellent, just amazed by your, both of you, sailing abilities, your access to weather and pertinent info to make the decisions that need be made. Anxiety and stress only enhances the reality to decisions made. It has been apparent from the first days leaving the uk. And has only grown with the many experiences sailing around the world. Now as your channel has grown, can’t believe it’s been 6 years now, your education into video production has only gotten better and better with the new equipment you’ve managed to acquire, editing it all to bring the reality of being with you as close as one can be. Many kudos to an adventure I’m not looking forward to ever seeing end. And since you are not home for some time, I continue to wish you safe travels and pleasant seas. Cheers 🥂

The leak looked very familiar. We had friends who were motoring around with their brand new Precision 28 since there was no wind. They were notified by their dog barking in the cabin that there was a problem and her dog dish was floating over the cabin sole. They put out a distress call and headed toward their dock. We had a group anchored near a sandy beach and suggested they come to us rather then head to the deepest water by their dock. We had them run up on the sand bar since that would prevent sinking further. We sent the helpers over to bail water and investigate the source. Once we got the water level down, we could see that the stuffing box hose had worked its way off the tapered fiberglass shaft log. Your scupper drain hose slid off the tapered fitting because tightening the hose clamp would tend to make it slide down the taper. We had to fix the problem by filing an untapered section onto the fiberglass log and tightening the hose clamp on the untapered section.

All your content is entertaining but the cross ocean sailing is probably the favorite for the reasons Amy put forward - a form of escapism? The 360 camera is a sneaky piece of kit and oh so effective - a great addition. The glimpse of your editing software appears very tidy and is reflected in your finished product. Enjoyed.

I love and look forward to your videos. Of all the other sailing vlogers I enjoy yours the most. My wife and I refer to you as "The racing kids" and I regret turning down the chance to go racing when we lived i Levkas Marina in the Greek Islands. Racing improves the breed. Love your new 'stick'. I lost concentration a little when I found myself trying to work out how the shot I was looking at was actually taken. Thanks so much for explaining. BTW your techie explanations of many details over the past 6 years, (is it really 6yrs???), are one of the highlights for me. And clearly many others. Both of you have developed an easy, relaxed way of presenting which makes it very enjoyable to watch and listen to. Thankyou for sharing this with me and so many others in such a lovely way.

Hey guys, we are really enjoying following you two. The cause of the pipe/hose coming loose from the fiberglass nipple protruding from the bottom of the deck is the tapered shape of the fiberglass protrusion, not something that you are doing wrong. I have seen this design error quite often with glassed in glass pipe. The builder will fiberglass the pipe to the structure increasing thereby increasing the diameter of the pipe in the attachment area but for some reason they don't think to glass the whole length of the pipe. As a result the hose connection ends up smaller/tapered in the wrong direction so the hose can easily slip off. With the tapered shape you have, any movement of the hose will loosen the hose. You can fix this by adding enough fiberglass to make the protrusion at least straight in diameter or better add a bit more glass to the end of the pipe to effectively reverse the taper. With the taper reversed the hose/pipe..that won't ever come off unless your hose clamp fails. Check any other glassed in pipe attachments that you have on the boat, chances are they will be tapered in the same way! Really like the 360 camera! Your video editing is quite professional IMO. Stay safe and keep having fun! J&J SV Sueno
