That's a great engine, very smooth runners and a sweet sound, to keep oil inside cranckase while running need a relatively long oil vent drain hose. Thats a great adition to your well preserved collection, want to see that big smile after testing.

While I don't have the 270, I do have its bigger brother the 300. It is an awesome engine. Runs very good with a 22x10. I have mine set up on CH ignitions and run 15% wildcat. I have seen idles down to 650 rpm!

Looks like someone used that box for a game of kickball. Glad to see that engine was relatively undamaged.

A person who fixes brass instruments could repair that tube. Also, I find if a motor has been sitting and after soaking in fresh glow fuel, use a heat gun to gently heat the engine to loosen the old model fuel. Valves often stick on four strokes. This is how I do it not the only way of course.

Awesome engine. I'm new to rc airplanes. I bought a new super tigre G-34 H like you have in a video. I got all the paperwork with it. There are actually 3 versions of the G-34 H. 2 are for a Heli, but 1 has a pull start. The 3rd 1 is what I have wich is G 34 Aero R/C W/M. If you have the box with the part # on it, I can tell you which 1 you have. Mine is # 11003458. I ordered S&W fuel and it should be here tomorrow. I'm having a hard time finding a plane on Ebay. I'm a noob, so I don't know what to search for, or what all I need. What would you recommend for this engine? I think I would rather go with ARF, but don't know if I want to go with the inline (if that's what they call it I can't remember) or 1 with a radio. Where is a good place to start as far as forums or websites? I found Tower Hobbies and Graves RC. Any information would be great, thanks. Also like the videos, can't wait to see this engine run.

RCGroups.com is a good forum to get all of the information you need for this hobby. I am in no position to recommend airplanes. What I DO recommend is to find a club, join it, and have the flight instructor there teach you how to fly. Learning to fly on your own is not a good way to enter this hobby. That leads to money lost and ultimately people lost from the hobby because they get discouraged because it really is harder than it looks.
