Well, we can kinda see the Hubert used to help his mom/grandma selling things every week at the market, taking on the role as the ”cute kid luring people in to look at the stand”. Hubert seems to have been a rather shy and quiet boy though, so maybe he was not to good at it. Whatever it was, they seems to have had a hard time getting people to come and buy. Mostly they were just visited by the same old man asking for some water, and having their home-made somethings stolen by the neighbourhoods kids Since no adult seems to stop them, not even a cop, maybe the family was kind of shunned and looked down upon by the town. Could that be because of Hubert’s mother having him out-of-marrige? Thats what I got from the episode.XD

David Firth. I’d like to thank you for making the most unsettling yet comforting character in the history of humanoid kind. Watching these makes me happy and think of good times. It’s quite stranger actually. My older half sister showed me this at a very young age seeing as though I’ve only just turned twelve September 29th. Now some people are rather horrifying and write fan fictions on this man which I don’t quite understand. I hope that you proceed to make more to Salad Fingers and continue my good dreams and happy memories. The feeling this series gives me is almost unrecognizable to myself. There's still a possibility that it happens later, since we can see Hubert could move somehow, he could have been mutated by the flesh, but it's still a good theory Something else I noticed was that the top of salad fingers' little market was made of what looks like flesh as well, it probably also came from Harry (Milford Cubicle)

@@albystra2231 I believe that patches of his clothes and whatever skin was left of his head were used for the hat, and in episode 11, Salad Fingers decided to improve Hubert by Sewing patches of flesh to him, which most fans believe to be from Harry (Milford), and since I don't think Salad Fingers used that much on Hubert, whatever was left was probably used on his little market

This one seems to actually take place sometime before episode 11, because the animation has reverted and Hubert is now reduced back to his original fingerpuppet form. I do agree that the way this mini-episode is structured and written does feel different, but I'm pretty sure that's because it's so short, aswell as it being an advertisement for the store, and so needed a store theme with other characters interacting with said store.
