I'm reminded of a story about a steam ship from 200 years ago. A ship belonging to a large shipping company had problems with the boiler and plumbing for ages. The ship's crew had continuously tried to fix it but the problem persisted. Eventually someone heard about a guy who was a bit of a legend with ship's plumbing. He looked around the ship for a while then took out a large hammer and whacked one of the pipes. Problem solved. A while later an invoice arrived at head office for £1000. The owner of the shipping company went mad and demanded a breakdown of the work done. Soon after another letter arrived. "For hitting pipe: £10. For knowing where to hit: £990" A bit like watching Chris pull bodywork!!

Just thought I would waffle in and say, I would be happy to drive it, even knowing its been hit, purely because the repair is documented on video, you can see the repairs done properly, it honestly makes all the difference, rather than the unknown.

Brilliant video, shows what a bodge some people do when 'repairing' CAT S cars for return to the road. I watched the clock on your wall and that was obviously a long 2 day job to get it to that stage which shows why it's cheaper for an insurance company to pay out rather than repair. Thanks again Rob and Chris, gives great insight.

Hi Guys. Ah yes the panelbeater's 2 favourite tools . A Sledgehammer and a Lump Hammer ! 😂😂 Great work Chris and Rob , yes drilling out those spot welds under the sill ...not nice ! Although cleaning off that sealer takes as long ! And Chris is doing what most panelbeaters don't ....taking his time and making sure the damaged sections are pulled gradually. The only thing l would suggest is put a heavy blanket over the chain (fire blanket) . so if the chain lets go it drops. And just in case for those that don't know the joints are spot on. Thanks

Difficult repair that but very satisfying. Once straightened a smacked Legacy at Spa circuit with a ratchet strap, concrete post & reversing back & banging enough so the lad could build it up enough with spares (upside down radiator borrowed/fitted) & lights taped together. He made it back to London 😊 Quote of the day was a Porsche driver passing saying ‘you’re not doing what I think you are, oh you are’ 😄👍 Happy Days.

That is pure art and shows many years of experience because you can't do that straight from the off to that standard. Once you've done that job to the standard you'd be hard pushed to tell it had been done, although I know you would never hide the history on a car because honesty is your company motto.....or should be 👍

Another great video guys a lot of work, but its only ever right when its right. The work ethic of you both of only accepting the standard of work you would put into doing your own personal vehicles on the vehicles you repair for sale, is commendable. You both remind me of myself , can't walk past a crooked picture frame without stopping to level it up. As my old gaffer use to say in my apprentice days, it don't matter if its getting covered up as long as you know what behind is plumb and level. Stood by that philosophy all my working life.

It shows how much labour and skill is involved in repairing a vehicle with structural damage and getting it right. It also shows how easy it would be to do a bad job of tackling the repair and ending up with a vehicle that drives horribly and is unsafe...
