There is a desk vesa mount that allows you to ditch the stand. It is pricey, but it holds the weight fine, no droop.

You mentioned you ordered a Ergotron HX (with HD Pivot) for this monitor, but that one's HD Pivot is only sutiable for the 49" of the G9, not the 57". Which mount did you end up with that supports the tilt?

great video @ Fire Wolf Tech ,makes me wonder why the recommended resolution is 3840 x 2160 ? how does 5120 x 1440 looks on a 57 inch ? Ive been looking quite a while now and seems nobody can play 3840 x 2160 center screen with higher than 60 refresh rate, that a bit of a down for me tbh

Yeah that was weird too, I'm not sure why. Maybe its because I had to use a lower DisplayPort version and maybe windows doesn't properly recognize it ? I've only used it at the max resolution @ 120Hz

@@digitaliceblast One thing to check. If the firmware is the same as other G9s, make sure the refresh rate is set to 120Hz ON the monitor (Main menu-> Game) first. The 4090 is unable to support the 240Hz rate at the higher resolution and might be locking you to 60Hz as long as the monitor is set to 240Hz.

it's an amazing monitor but for me 2500€ in Europe it's too much money whereas it is not even an oled,and from December 31st also want to put 150$ shipping.............

The upside to mini-led is that it’s brighter and doesn’t have those color fringing on OLED monitors. But I would still prefer oled. And damn paying extra for shipping sucks, I always try to find a promo code for free shipping lol

Nvidia users beware, gsync flicker! No vrr included on the monitors firmware. 4090 user and letting you know this! Hdmi 1 and dp are the only ports that allow gsync to be toggled on in the nvidia control panel, both boxes checked.. producted returned, wasted a year of my life waiting for this monitor

This monitor is not G-Sync compatible, only has AMD FreeSync Premium Pro. As long as you don't enable G-Sync for a monitor that also says "not validated as G-Sync Compatible" you shouldn't have flicker. I did a review video just now : kzbin.info/www/bejne/pqablXibfsRolZI

@@FIREWOLFTECH omg your missing the whole point in the matter. Typical response, it does not matter if its not certified compatibility vrr would fix it, you want gsync on to make frames transitions smooth and tear free and im gonna msg the whole reasoning why in ur review video

@@dnsean03 why would you turn on G-Sync if its not certified ? There's a reason why Samsung nor NVIDIA state this monitor will be able to utilize G-Sync error free. In NVIDIA's own words for G-Sync compatible "Doesn’t use NVIDIA processors, but have been validated by NVIDIA to give you a good, basic variable refresh rate (VRR) experience for tear-free, stutter-free gaming."

@@FIREWOLFTECH it is missing vrr on the monitor itself unlike prior generations of the g9 and g7. You want gsync for tear free gaming reguardless if its certified compatible or not, you want it on if using a nvidia gpu, go ahead and play cyberpunk you will see tearing on bilboards and focal points when path tracing max everything out. There's no argument here, gysync for nvidoa cards no gsync for amd. Simple.. sendoly samsung has to pay to get it certified and obviously its not cheap. Thats the only reason why. They could easily add vrr as stated prior flickered and they added vrr to the firmware and it fixed the issue

Yes if you’re NVIDIA user you ‘want’ to have it on, and if you buy a monitor that clearly doesn’t have G-Sync compatibility, then expecting it to work properly doesn’t make sense. There’s a reason why NVIDIA has a list of compatible monitors; if it ain’t on that list, don’t expect G-Sync to work 100%, no argument there. It could be a long time until we see a ‘fix’ because even HDMI 2.1 doesn’t enable 240Hz on this 4090. I guess we could agree that flickering is an issue when G-Sync is enabled

7900 xtx 2.1 dp only solution. to be honest I downgrade mysellf selling 4090 and going for 7900 xtx which was the wrong decision of mine because nothing gives you 240 even fps games such as valorant. also this monitor suchs for fps gaming. For instance I went for diablo 4 this monitor but diablo 4 does not support he monitor like diablo 3 there are black corners so you use monitor for 49 inc. Above the current technology at the moment hope they give lots of support in the future. @@FIREWOLFTECH
