I think it’s because the market segments they sell to… see Android and Samsung as “alternative goods” and not as desirable as Apple. It’s stupid, but Android as a whole (at least in the US) still is considered the “poor man’s smartphone OS”. Google Pixels are changing that public perception slowly, though, especially when they take demonstrably better photos than iPhones.

Samsung has been going downhill on design, specs and price for the past 2-3 years. Everything has been just iterative or adopt the worst aspects of Apple, yet charging same or more. The fact that now they are copying Apple on model lineups and design cues, it is like they are going back to their early 2010s dark age of being knock off Apple. It is sad. I think Nothing, Pixel (sometimes) and Moto are creating more exciting devices in Android.

I have a zfold 3 personally and even with a really good case, using it everyday, multiple times a day, absolutely ruined the inner screen. And the outer screen was even more fragile.If the materials for the z fold 6 are dang near identical, I can imagine the inner screen would be absolutely shredded in a year or so.

It's a shame Samsung moved away from the Buds Live jellybean shape; I have those earbuds and they are both supremely comfortable (I hate the earbuds that plug into the ear canal) and inconspicuous as they don't stick out of my ears. Having those stems poking out of the ears is a look I actively try to avoid, which is why I'm still using the Buds Live, not the Apple earpods, even though my main phone has been an iPhone for the last two years.

I feel like Marquez didn't do the differences/improvements justice just because he's seen too many of the folds/flips and seems to have a bias for novelty. These improvements and refinements add up to something worthwhile, even compared to just the most recent model before it. It's likely not enough of a reason to upgrade but it's enough of a reason to know Samsung is doing real work and to choose one over the other.

As a former skuba diver i can give some info on the "100m" depth. You have watches witch say 50m witch translates to "you can swim with this no problem", 100m you can do basic scuba diving with this. But if you really want a scuba diving you need a 200m watch. If you want a depth sensor you get at least a 200m watch
