I love this phone so much. I upgraded from the Galaxy S22 Ultra to the Galaxy S24 Ultra, and the latter is miles ahead of the former in every aspect. The only thing I miss is the curved screen as I am a curved screen person. Nonetheless, this phone is top-notch. Thanks for the great review, boss, and sorry for your mom's passing. Huge condolences to you and your family. And oh, small correction at the beginning of the video. The Galaxy S24 Ultra uses Corning Gorrila Armour on the front and Gorilla Victus 2 at the back.

Love my S24 Ultra. The Feb update made it a great phone. I was a little disappointed (like some other people) because of the vivid issue and camera issues. But the Feb update fixed all of those issues. The phone is awesome now! Great video as always!

Just to fix a curve screen for my S22 the place I usually go wanted to charge $350 to replace screen. So I said rather upgrade for that price

Amazing phone. Had mine a week now. Traded in a pixel 7 which I was happy with but not happy with battery life. Battery is better on s24 ultra but im still only getting 6hrs screen on time. Maybe just the apps I have running in the background.

First phone I can say I love. The most impressive is the screen shape and how comfortable it is in the hand. Of course it is fast and you can remove most bloatware. Samsung AI is irrelevant. Videos are great. Photos aren't better than Pixel but still a great phone. Difficult for me to go back to Pixel 8 pro because of the large beautiful screen . I don't care about Samsung Keyboard but I'm still in love with my Gboard. Overall love it

The reason the change to titanium on the iPhone was more noticeable since they came from stainless steel. Aluminum/titanium weight is negligible in an application like a phone frame.

Glad someone else is noticing the screen brightness. Don't get me wrong, it's bright enough, but I wouldn't have guessed it was anything over 1700 nits. I think the non-reflective screen makes a big difference outside, though. My condolences on your loss. Keep up the great content

I've been hearing a lot about display issues in the S24 lineup, like banding and the mura effect (grainy texture). Personally, I prefer a natural color display, but it's good that Samsung has introduced vividness levels in the latest update for those who prefer vibrant colors. I was considering purchasing the S24U, but these screen issues make me a bit hesitant to take the plunge.

My last phone was an S20U; the screen was cracked in every direction (touch and fingerprint still worked!), and after 15k miles of being rigidly mounted to either a motorcycle or mountain bike, the auto focus on the main camera quit working. Point is, if you really want to feel the improvements, just wait a few years before upgrading. To me everything seemed like a massive upgrade, except the aod… don’t know why they took away the colored notification icons.

Titanium is lighter than stainless steel (think of an iPhone), but it’s heavier than aluminum. And aluminum was what was used on the Samsung devices before. That is why you don’t feel it any lighter.

Question to anyone owning this, has anyone noticed their screen shows shifting hues when viewing something in plain bright colors? I'd be having a website or a Keep note in yellow color and the slightest change on viewing angle will make one part of the screen take a greenish/yellowish hue which greatly affects the overall color accuracy of the display. Should I get a replacement device or is this "normal"?

Adam, I believe same as me, you are waiting on Xperia VI to be released ;) I had a mixed feelings with S24U. Have upgraded from s23U and was disappointment. In some areas S23U was even better and more comfortable to hold. I returned it and tried something new to me, iPhone 15 Pro Max. So far I have better user experience than S24U. Now lets wait on Sony and see if there will be some revolution or again small evolution ;)

I love the S24 Ultra! Especially after the Feb update! I upgraded from the S21 Ultra Exynos, and one of the things that I have noticed significantly is the connectivity with call quality, wifi and the internet connection. It is way better than the s21 Ultra!

the phone does not weigh less because it was titanium replacing aluminum. aluminum is lighter than titanium. what the s24 ultra gained was strength. In the case of Iphone 15 titanium replaced stainless steel....thus the shedding of unit weight.

Any serious photographer knows that if one is going to have just three prime lenses for general shooting with a full frame camera, they'll typically be the 28mm wide-angle, the 50mm standard and the 105mm telephoto. In-between these, I would 'zoom with my feet' or just shoot and crop in post. If I'm going to have just one Zoom, it'll probably be a 24-105. The iphone15 pro max has just the 24mm & 120 mm. The gap is too wide for effective coverage and the compromises are obvious. The S24 Ultra has the 23mm, 67mm & 115mm. This plugs the vital gap in the middle. To my mind, this is miles better.

Just got my s24 , so I now have the iPhone 15 pro max and the s24 .. in my opinion the s24 is probably the most "complete" phone , but the jury's out. Also I actually think that I like the Sony 1v more than either of the other two! Not sure if I'm going to keep the s24 especially as the Sony 1vi will be out in a few months .Think I am mirroring your comments regarding the s24 , but that's how I see it too.

I love the camera on the S24 ultra but 3 zoom is to bright at night even on night mode on both pictures and videos. It looks great during the daylight though.

I think the 5,000 mAh battery is more than good enough for this phone. The efficiency of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 gives the average user about 8 hours of SOT which is more than enough to get through an entire day with heavy usage. With moderate to light usage you can expect two days of battery life easily. Very light usage will even allow up to three days. I dont see why they should ever have to upgrade the size of the battery, especially if it could possibly interfere with the S Pen by doing so. Im content with my 5,000 mAh battery and S Pen functionality over a bigger battery any day.

Sorry for your loss man. I need some advice, I bought my S24 Ultra on FEB 19, i noticed my battery life is not that great. So am facing a % drop every 5-6 mins. Is this normal? I mostly use web browsing, whatsapp, instagram, facebook, tiktok, youtube. To be noted, I disable all background activity for all apps, I use dark mode, light performance profile, also i disable AOD. and I only charge my phone up to 80% only to protect the battery health. Please if anyone has been experiencing same issue, let me know.

Yes that's normal. I'm getting around 1hr of use for every 10% battery used. Get around 10 hours of screen on time.

My S24+ is my first Galaxy device and I'm super disappointed in the shutter lag. I can't take a decent picture of my kids or dogs because they're all blurry. I have watched every video I can find on settings and the best suggestions seem to be manipulating settings in Raw mode.. Which I don't love. So it's either take a much slower phone with less customization in a Pixel or a much worse camera for my lifestyle in a Galaxy.

Try using burst mode , motion pictures or video, that way you have multiple shots to choose from or screenshot the video. I use these methods to shoot race cars, drones , martial arts competitions , my mental cat and more.

I think Samsung made a mistake with the speaker placement. When the phone is held in landscape orientation, the speaker is easily covered, which causes the sound to become muffled, and the vibration felt in the hand to become annoying. Hopefully, Samsung will change the speaker location for the next S25 Ultra.

Grainy display issue...mura effect...hasn't been fixed with the latest software updates...seems to be a hardware problem that can not be fixed...Just wait for the S25ultra....The ...mura effect...has no solution as it's a hardware issue.
