Hold finger for a few seconds over an app icon (the Play Store, in this case) to pop up menu, then tap "App info" (i) button. Then tap on "Notifications". You can switch off specific categories - or just everything at once. I think the one you want to disable is called "Updates completed". I have my notifications extremely fine-tuned for all apps. @@ElvisChibundu I think that is because it was using the standard Google Camera app that came with the phone. Much of the strength of the Pixel camera is due software and Google post-processing of the photos. GrapheneOS does not have the Google camera app installed by default. Phones like the Nothing Phone and Pixel are becomming more and more popular because they actually contain a good Android ROM, polished and with easier access. Casual users just want that. A phone for texting, calling and maybe the camera and social media. It should just work. And the A Series isn't doing justice either. Helped with setting up an A phone. Took ages and I couldn't really make a Samsung account properly. You CAN deal with the iOS problems. A Sideloading service for iOS costs around 15$ a year and customization can be done with Cowabunga Lite or with good Widget apps. The Shortcut app is useful for some Android features. Since you can't change batteries any more, and the lack of updates (and when you do get an update, it might actually make your 1-2 year old device even worse) really makes the phone worse in the end rather than it actually breaking. I've never broken a phone. Now I'm on a Samsung Galaxy A52s 5g. It works. I use my phone for basic stuff. Maps, Whatsapp, email, listening to music and banking. Personally, I just like how iOS looks compared to Android. I know there are iOS launchers out there that you can download. iOS for me has also been reliable for the most part. I had one major issue with my old iPhone 8+ which ended up boot looping on me. It’s going have to take Apple to screw up royally in order to get me to switch at this point.

The perfect smartphone for me would be one where the materials and weight feel solid in your hand. Just the bare basics ie calculator, some reading book app, calling and texting and a privacy focused browser.
