Aside from Jones being far bigger than nearly all of his opponents and having an insane reach advantage, the thing that impressed me the most was his takedown defense versus DC. You simply cannot overstate how impressive his wrestling/takedown defense was in his fights with DC who is one of the greatest wrestlers we've ever seen in MMA.

Love him or hate him, Jones is without a doubt the greatest mixed martial artist of all time, and I don't see anyone surpassing that for a very long time. I think Tom Aspinall would beat him at heavyweight though, and Tom could well become the greatest heavyweight to ever do it. Ego is Toms biggest enemy.
@lachlanm7149Ай бұрын
Does Tom have a big ego? He seems down to earth in most of the videos I've seen of him. A heavyweight today breaking Fedors streak seems unlikely. The skill level is too high these days and they hit too hard to go on huge win streaks. Tom's probably the most athletic heavyweight ever though
@DLC-sy7ppАй бұрын
@@lachlanm7149 No bud, I'm not saying he has but stardom and riches can seriously mess someone up. As long as he keeps it in check he should be fine. I've seen it happen so many times with fighters though. Fedor was good yes, but unfortunately not in the UFC. It depends on how often Tom can fight and how long he will continue to fight too. A prime Fedor vs Prime Tom would have been interesting. I don't see anyone in the heavyweight division giving him any problems. But no one is unbeatable.
