7:05 "IT STOPS!" I think Sarah flooded her basement with this brake test. I pick up a 2019 RST with the Z71 package and I have no complaints about it. They definitely settle in better with a payload. Also the storage is under the bench seat. As always you make awesome reviews for regular vehicles!

I’ve watched a lot of car reviews on KZbin, but yours are by far my favorite. They include what matter to normal buyers and your units of measurement (meatballs, penguins, cookies, and beans) should be adopted by everyone else. I drove a new SUV the other day. My wife and the dealer thought I was nuts when I expressed my opinion using them 😉. “Sorry but no sale...at 1.5 beans and 2 meatballs, this SUV is not for me!”

This Truck is the best $48K I've ever spent in my life. Halogen fog lights are the best, in my opinion. I had them on my 2015 Ford F-150 and the illumination was superior to my 2018 Silverado's LED fog lights. Same goes for head lamps. The Duramax weighs about 1,200 pounds more than the V8 HD, so yeah, I can understand the feel difference off road. My 2020 2500HD V8 can pull up to 18,100 pounds with the Gooseneck/5th Wheel option I have and I tow a 14,000 pound 5th wheel with an extra 1,500 - 2,000 pounds of gear in the trailer and some in the Truck and it handles it like a freight train. I use 4WD when towing down steep grades and it really helps in stability so you're not White knuckling. As far as looks, I think the Chevy Trucks are very tough looking. Dodge & Chevy are hands down the best looking Trucks.

Evening Sarah! Hope you're feeling better and getting better. 👍🏻 Nothing like a big gass V8 to make the blood flow... I'm a huge fan of the old square body Chevy trucks... I have an '86 K10 with a 400+hp small block stroker & 4-speed sitting on 38's... And a '78 K10 with 1-ton running gear, 20" of lift, and 44's. They sit in a shop... I planned on combining the best parts of the 2, and then selling the other running truck with the parts I don't want/need. Priorities shifted to "real life", so those took a backseat for the last 8+ years.

Gotta try out the Ford 7.3 next! The GM is good, not hating on it, but the Ford destroyed in pulling a trailer up Eisenhower pass in Colorado The Ford had to actually slow down a few times as it was going faster than the speed limit (they don’t break it for the testing) and the 7.3 still made it to the top over 3 minutes faster than the GM That new 7.3 gas engine is an absolute BEAST! The only gas engine to ever keep up with the diesel trucks while pulling 16,000 pounds! 💪 And can’t wait for you to test the new Powerstroke too! Big love to Sarah and her penguins!

The reason this truck comes with the second battery box is because it is a work truck. So let's say you buy it for construction and you want to add the yellow construction lights, and other back up lights or lighting for the construction site you will often need the extra battery power. Also construction guys in the great north where I live usually plow a lot of snow in the winter and the snow plow will also use extra battery power to run the plow, amber lights and plow lights. I'm sure it is also equipped with a high watt alternator as well. I'm sure it also has extra knock outs in the dash for added toggle switches to run it all. Some even come with extra switches and wiring already out to under the hood to wire things so you don't have to cut threw the fire wall. It's pretty close to plug and play. These trucks are way better then the old days where you were under the dash for hours drilling holes for switches and running wiring while laying on your head.

Any truck with a tow package is going to stop scary fast when empty. The test standards for tow rating require you to be able to stop with a trailer at the full rating without trailer brakes in a certain distance. Engineering explained did a video about it.

@irritablearchitect4 жыл бұрын
The original 400 wasn't actually a small block. It wasn't a big block either. It was its own engine, but happened to have a common bore spacing with the SBC, so its crank could be fitted into the SBC IF, and only if, you turned down the main bearing diameter to match the standard SBC bearing size, and you clearanced the block for the extra stroke of the longer crank to fit within the SBC crankcase. Usually, this would result in what you'd call a 383 stroker.
