Most of the film is the writer trying to be with her while the owner insists she sleep with some wealthy duke to secure funding. And at the same time they are rehearsing a new show that is similar in plot to the love triangle occuring between the writer, the performer, and the duke. And she's dying for some reason. All the musical numbers are mashups of popular songs. I think the first number when they go to the club is the Can Can song mixed with Smells Like Teen Spirit. I did NOT like it
