This could just be a medical issue not so much her diet. We don't know what she's eating. I know someone that has a healthy diet but gains so much weight every year. They also live such a healthy active life. At this point their basically scared of eating anything because they don't want to put anymore weight on. But the weight just keeps coming on. It's sad. Their parents are heartbroken and feel useless. And when people blame them they feel even worst. So please don't just assume what's happening. And don't assume whose "fault" this is. :)

I was obese myself when I was 9 weighing at least 150-160 Lbs which is alot for a child. Both of my parents were over weight and yet somehow it was always my fault for having the body I carried. I got bullied, got called names, didn't have any friends, hell I remember the countless nights i would just cry myself to sleep because of how fat i was and to top it off my parents were disgusted by my weight and it was a subject that would always be spoken about at any gathering. I was a child and i did not know better. I did not know what healthy was I just knew that if my parents took away my chocolate I would get mad because it wasn't fair. I can't go back time but i will MAKE SURE i watch my kids weight and never let them go thru the poor choices my parents made. They fucked up.

As somebody on a weightloss journey (I’ve lost 47lbs in 8 weeks and still at it). I was still obese as a child and it wasn’t my mums fault. She couldn’t stop me from eating. I’d get up in the night and just eat and eat and eat whilst she was sleeping. It is an eating disorder called BED’s. Under all that there was deeper and emotional scars that caused me to comfort eat & the constant bullying meant I started to stay in on my computer and guess what I would do? EAT. No doctor would sit and say I have Binge Eating Disorder until I was 19 (last year) If anything my mum hid things so I couldn’t eat them but I’d still find a way to get the chocolate or crisps. Her daughter needs counselling and a life coach, she’s too young to be in a mindset of losing a lot of weight, it’s hard work & can be an emotional rollercoaster!

I think the natural body process is easier, but starting the weight loss might be harder. A child can't really buy their own food or feed themselves (I don't mean literally, but most children can't cook a healthy meal for themselves everyday), kids at school could put you down, and it's hard to keep that willpower without your parents or family support. If you have all of those though, losing weight would be a lot easier.

When I ways younger I used to listen to my friends say how they would get shouted at if they didn't eat all their lunch. So to avoid being shouted at by my mom I would eat all of my lunch. But the majority of my lunch that my mum made was chocolate. So I kept on eating to avoid trouble. And that's why now im overweight. All because my mum bought unhealthy foods, packed them for me and let me eat them and me not wanting to be shouted at (which I don't see as a bad thing) so if the weight gain starts when the parents still decide what they eat, then it is the parents fault coz no child wants to be shouted at.

My little Cousin is the exact same way. Literally. Her Parents have been told to cut her back on bad foods but it's like they don't really really care. She eats till she's sick, if we get to my Grandmas (she lives next door to our Grandma so she's there like everyday) and she cooked for us and she already ate not even 10 minutes ago she'll eat a full meal again, if there is only a little bit left she'll fight for it so no one can have it, if someone put something aside for later she'll eat it. It's horrible and I feel so bad for her because she does get picked on. She's also eleven and I'm 22 and she's already way bigger than me. She's in sports but some how manages to "get hurt" so she doesn't have to participate. It honestly hurts me so bad seeing her go on a downward spiral and her parents won't do much to help.

It depends on the parent. Some people cant say No to their daughter but want help. You do realize she cant help her and THATS WHY SHE ASKED FOR THEIR HELP. The mother says in the beginning "She's always been healthy..". Gaining weight like that isn't being healthy, even if you might "feel" okay. It's not like a person is healthy and suddenly overweight and not healthy. Sure you can have a few kilos more or less and still count as healthy, but child obesity is not a child's fault. It's the parent's fault. It's their responsibility to make sure that their child gets the right kind of food, the right amount of exercise and so on. Come on parents! Take responsibility for your child's future.

In PE class, the person finishing last, don't cheer for them, because we don't want to be different. We want to feel normal, and not be cheered for like everyone else.

@jilliansmith71236 жыл бұрын
Sharie Zuluaga: No, I'm afraid I have to disagree. The ONLY reason people get fat is because they eat more food than their own bodies burn off. Now if you'd like to discuss reasons why people eat too much food, that's a different question. As for genetics and medical conditions, it doesn't matter, simply put. While there are some, rare conditions that cause you to gain water weight, such as dropsy, generally it has to be too many calories each day beyond what each person's own body uses. You cannot make FAT out of air and a medical condition. It still requires eating more food than you burn off. If you think that's rude, I'm sorry. If so, you must think reality is pretty rude. This is 100% in line with reality. The day I faced it was the day I began to take control of how much I ate. It really doesn't matter what you eat in terms of getting fat. What does matter is how much. We became human beings way back when food was scarce and getting it was extremely difficult, hard, arduous work. Now it's everywhere, easy to get, loaded with calories, and delicious. We do far less now that we did even 150 years ago, so we actually need far less food than our ancestors used to when they labored physically for 15-18 hours a day.

Sora the dutch angel dragon that’s not always the case you know, every diet is different depending on the person and especially on their blood type like corn or even certain neatly options like nuts is healthy but that would make me gain weight since of my blood type

Um it's not always that. Sometimes it's just your genetics or something else.

She needs to want to fix it, not only her mom. It’s all about exercising and eating healthier food. You can’t change a person who wont do it for herself. When it becomes mental health issues, she needs friends that accept her as she is but will show her good examples and exercise with her. Then good habits become fun and are more likely to be followed

Marc-André Poulin YOU ABSOLUTELY CAN CHANGE A PERSON IF THEY'RE YOUR KID it's kind of the whole point it's called Parenting

no name but you won’t be abble to change a stubborn kid unless you give her no other choice, and that’s the point of being good parents, restraining choices to the good ones to create good life habits. that was clearly not the case with this girl before, so is her mom really gonna make it happen before she reaches teenage and be able to work and make her own choices? If she as mental health issues now, will it make it worse buy bringing her to anorexia?

she's a beautiful girl, i gained about 50 lbs from 7th to 11th grade and i'm trying to lose it, so far i've lost 2 lbs in a week but it's not gonna be easy. its fucked up how they're treating her though, just because someone is overweight doesn't mean you can treat them like shit

@deeznutz37627 жыл бұрын
Also she tried a diet but SHE went back. If the mom is fat and she is fat how the fuck would think that the mom could help as much as you expect. SHE is the one falling back into the old habits not the mom forcing her to go back.
