I love the scenes with Anos parents. Them acting like this Giga-Chad, ancient badass from beyond time is their wittle baby boy, being loving supportive parents while Anos just chills is hilarious. It's just an inherently funny idea that works way better than most other "comic relief" character schticks I've seen in anime. And despite how dumb the writing is Anos' schtick is just well executed. He's literally just an overpowered character who's always right about everything, but you're there for it. I say well done to that.

Thing with isekai is that power fantasies are extra prevalent, which just makes them devolve into the same cash grab garbage after the first couple episodes when the premise/hook becomes irrelevant. The whole genre has just become the fast food of anime. You hear people say "Yeah, it's an isekai, but it's actually pretty good" like they know how just being that genre leaves a black mark on the show. 99% of "good isekai shows" are good because they stray away from the tropes instead of embracing them.

It’s great because it leans into it. It’s not overly serious. Sure, there’s a conspiracy to steal Anos’ title, but all the flexes are always played up for laughs. Like, “I’m the Demon King because I’m me.” That’s such an arrogant, Archer Gilgamesh thing to say that you can’t not laugh at it, even if you’ve never seen the Gilded Asshole himself. For me personally, I had expected him to say something about his bonds or the faith others put in him, y’know, typical shounen ‘source of strength’ stuff. Not to give Gilgamesh a run for his money in outrageous arrogance. Sorry, it’s been over a month, and I still can’t get over how much I love that line, so I wrote a full paragraph. 😅

Actually that dude was already making fun of them before the match. And Anos unknowingly talked to the girl who was hated by may people she encountered because she wasnt a full demon. I think people misinterpret the "see you later" as just a casual thing but for someone who gets bullied and always lives alone their whole lives, it gives them hope that someone out there actually enjoyed their company and wants to talk to them again. And people misinterpret that Misha loves him already when she was just happy she finally get to have a real friend.

I'll slightly complain here. Remember, Misha is a literal doll and EVERYONE important has completely ignored her her entire life; even her sister "hates" her. So he's the first person who's actually noticed that she exists and _did_ done something for her -- ignoring the society's "there's no one at all there" rule. Probably the reason why so many liked it (me included) it's the fact that is so straightfoward, Anos is a literal walking Flex over everyone else, that's it. The character is OP, always cool af and an absolute Chad. He doesn't act all shy around girls, is confident and doesn't try to hide his identity or his powers and goes with the "let's try live a normal life" shit, he goes around basically saying: "I'm actually the Demon King, I've returned, bow down". With so many stories filled with shit MCs which end up being carried by side characters, this one feels fresh; it's not amazing and unique, but it's nice and worth to follow.

Parents weirdly accept their underage kids bringing home underage wives? TBH: The Author seems to KNOW how to actually write and the story is cohesive and use details and information/clues to lead the reader. That alone makes for quite the BETTER quality of this series, the WN/LN is a decent read, the Manga is also decent enough, the Anime is rushed in the narrative speed, but from the entire package, it delivers the plot with barely any important plot points missing or poorly explained. Overall, i would rate it a 6-6.5/10, enjoyable, consistent (Narrative and worldbuilding) and works because it does something that works for both Parody and typical plots: Camp (check TV tropes website to see what it means)
