This is the second home in which kzbin.infoUgkx0jZ_lGlDVJhDnmagEU8gn47cmfPNlLQU we've replaced our "regular" doorbell with a Ring video doorbell and we really enjoy it. It is very easy to install and it works very well, with a clear picture through the app and good in-home use (we added the chime, which is also easy to install and doesn't require another thought to use).

Billy Green It's good to let people know how easy it is to break in their house. I helped a pregnant lady with two kids get in her house by removing a cracked window pane. She locked herself out, and wanted me to kick in the door. I was in her house in less than 5 minutes. I gave her the dimensions of the broken pane, so her husband could install the splines. Locks are for honest people.

The CHEAP way to protect your lock is to ask a locksmith to incorporate one "10" or "11" depth cut on your key (usually on the 5th cut(the tip of the key - the last cut) the deep cut is on the tip of the key as other-way it can weaken the key - That way if anybody inserts a bump key - that is usually cut to "9" depth it will push that last pin above the shear line and the cylinder will not turn. You can also use some special heavy oil that drastically slows up the speed of the pins bouncing UP - but but but if something goes wrong you could end up locked out - in that case spray some brake cleaners or any solvent in the lock and try to wash it out. Good Luck

You'd be surprised at how easy it is to open most locks. Before my wife died, she asked me to teach her how to open a "bullet-proof" lock. I gave her the preferred tool for that type of lock, & she had it open in under 3 seconds. I re-locked it, & she got it open in less than 2 seconds. And I'm NOT a locksmith by training; I was a TeeVee Chief Engineer at the time. Every few weeks, I'd be called upon to open someone's file-cabinet, toolbox, car, etc. with their keys locked in it. Being a "locksmith" was just part of the job of an "Engineer", I guess. (The commercial "picks" are OK, but they wear out very fast, & are very easily broken. I made many of mine from old steak-knives which had been ground down in thickness as well as height, but since most people have a close-by neighbor with a machine-shop in their basement, if you're going to use "store-bought" lock tools, (and most suppliers of these kind of tools will want see some kind of ID with your photo on it before they'll give you the time of day), the most important thing you've got to remember is to be GENTLE with them; the will also aid you in getting your lock open faster - TAKE YOUR TIME!) And, of course, DO NOT OPEN A LOCK THAT ISN'T YOURS, or that you don't have permission to open!

***** That's what I was thinking, just came down to comments to see if anyone else had mentioned it. I suppose it's easy to understand why, this kind of information is obviously easily abused. And Locksmiths generally speaking, aren't too fond of sharing their secrets for that very reason I guess. I think in this country it's illegal to even own lockpicks unless you're a licensed locksmith.
@Mrhollerr9 жыл бұрын
Shineymcshine79 I was thinking he didn't really want to be talking to the fella with the weird haircut. If he wasn't comfortable giving the information he would have just said no to the video. I think he was happy to share info, but just wasn't expecting some over enthusiastic guy with a weird haircut haha

Hipstoprockathon Look. He's teaching us how to defeat locks, and that knowledge can be pretty useful in a variety of ways (legal or otherwise). He could be wearing _a purple Bodyglove_ and sporting a _reverse mohawk_ , and I *still* wouldn't care: One, because I'm focused on the lesson. Two, because I stand firmly against all the useless fashionista dickweeds who think that they have some Zeus-powered right to dictate how everyone else should dress and act, and I look forward to the day when they all drown in their own hubris. And three, because I'm not a shallow, judgemental prick (unlike *some* people here), and if that's how our man here wants to harmlessly express his individuality, then I'm all for it. It's all part of that enlightened thinking that some of us are striving towards. Maybe you've heard of it. And to think that *you're* calling *me* retarded....

My mother use to say "Lock's don't keep criminals out, they keep honest men from temptation."
@TomRolfson6 жыл бұрын
We've said it for years: Locks are only to keep the honest people out. A thief is going to find his way in via lock or window pane. It's WHO notices and what they do about it that will deter a thief. A barking dog, good start. An alarm that wakes everyone in several hundred yards is better. A trained homeowner with a firearm - a punk's nightmare.

Believe it or not, the barking dog is better than an alarm (nobody has been bitten by a alarm), or the gun (someone needs to be there & willing to pull the trigger).

This is a old one with Netflix saying delivery most of the time one day. Back ten years ago we use to get ours shipped out of Mobile Alabama, being just 25 miles from Mobile and having to pass through Mobile 5 days a week I would drop it off at one of the Mobile post offices. We were getting most of the time a new movie once every 3 days. Then they moved the return address on the envolopes to a city in Florida and it was then taking about 4 to 5 days. Now in 2020 most of them are mailed back to a city in Georgia and now we are down to one every 7 to 9 days. Great job Netflix.
