First one reminds me of a plot point for Star Wars: Episode 2. Palpatine wants Padme dead, so he tells Count Dooku to kill her. Dooku wont do it himself, so he hires Jango Fett. Jango Fett won't do it himself, so he hires a shapeshifter lackey. The shapeshifter lackey won't do it herself, so she sends a droid. The droid won't do it itself, so it sends in some poisonous centipedes. After the centipedes fail and they start chasing the shapeshifter, Jango Fett comes and KILLS THE SHAPESHIFTER INSTEAD OF PADME.
