This is very valuable, thank you! My 13-year old has a 14-degree scoliosis and I've been looking at numerous KZbin videos on scoliosis, trying to learn how to help her (stop the progression, if possible). Although I myself have scoliosis, I've never learned so much about it like in the past few months, thanks to all the videos out there. She started doing Schroth exercises and understand both the breathing and the elongation factors of it. This video has really helped me understand it more. Thank you!

This applies to S curves. An S curve means you have an upper curve and a lower curve. Most of my videos will apply to you!

I'm 49 and being treated for mild scoliosis! My chiropractor is recommending this breathing technique but I'm just not sure I'm doing it right. I understand that I need to keep my ribcage expanded during exhalation but I feel like I just can't tell if it is staying expanded during exhalation. I think I might be close but is there a certain way that one should exhale in order to stay expanded. Are you 'blowing through a straw'? I'm still confused - thanks.
