I had a rough idle but driving seemed fine and was wondering if maybe my CDI was bad. This continuity test proved that is was fine. Thanks for helping me rule out one possibility!

Sometimes cdi under stress do not work perfectly even if with the continuity test look fine also try to replace the spark plug that could be why you have a rough idle 👍

@VirberelloScooterTips I already replaced the spark plug and also tested the ohms of the spark plug wire and it was above 7.500 ohm reading or so, replaced it with a new one, will see how it runs today.

Ok so after 30-45 minutes of driving around, the idle gets rough. It seems like the idle is "okay" until after a while, but I had to turn up the idle pretty high so it will not stall and the back wheel is spinning because the idle is too high. I tried spraying carb cleaner to find a vacuum leak, could not find one. Changed spark plug and the wire. cleaned out the air filter. My next guess was CDI but it was fine on the volt meter. I am going to order a new fuel filter, drain the gas and make sure the tank is clear of debris and replace the filter next. It has almost 32,000 miles. Maybe the engine is just getting old? It is a 2016 SYM HD200 EVO. (fuel injection, not carburetor)

wow 32k is a great mileage that can also be a valve clearance or worn out piston rings check the motor pressure to make sure but if that happen after 30 to 45 minutes you could have the valve spring little tire / worn

@@VirberelloScooterTips Well I found the problem after changing my spark plug wire, furl filter, petcock, testing cdi, new spark plug, valve adjustment and the list goes on. The spring had ripped through one of the clutch shoes on my clutch! I replaced the clutch shoe assembly and the bike runs great again! haha! No random rough idling and the back tire does not spin when ont he center stand anymore lol.

You locking great man i placed the blue cdi on my icebear vision 50cc 2022 with the orange spark plug cable because it didn't start with the black cable so my scooter just got more power in accelerating. I like it more with the blue cdi works great

Please help I put in the blue CDI but it still limits my revs it refuses to redline it did increase my speed by 6-7mph but I'm still stuck at it never reaching the red line at all would it be better if I use the original and remove the rev limiter?

Question ? I am working on my son's 2007 Ricardo znen. What kind of cdi box ? Has the longer one in it but he had a neighbor work with it so not sure if this neighbor changed anything up ?

It can be difficult to determine the exact type of CDI box required for a specific scooter model without additional information. However, as the 2007 Ricardo Znen likely has a GY6 engine, a common CDI box used for this engine is the DC-CDI box.

Hello. I got a guestion. I have a dc cdi (kymco) and when i use the black probe on the ground in the left corner in the bottom and the red probe on the top right, should it have continouity? It does with mine but shouldn't that be normal because they are both ground. Thank you for your reply in advance. Greetings from Holland.

I've purchased one of the blue aluminum cdi. But didn't install noticed it only had 5 pins. Can you explain the difference it 5 and 6 pins.

Hi I'm new to the utube channel I hope this will get to you. I have a 2021 amigo ss 150cc. It's so hard to start cold that it kills battery trying when I'm jumping it from a car it takes me holding the start button for long periods and it eventually starts it's hard to keep going but once warmed up it runs great. What are some trouble shooting tips. I would really like to talk on phone if possible. I'm desperate I've missed a week of work already. Please help.

Hello my friend There could be several reasons why your gas scooter is not starting. Here are some common reasons: Faulty spark plug: A faulty spark plug can prevent the engine from starting. Check the spark plug to see if it is dirty, corroded or worn out. If so, replace it with a new one. Clogged air filter: A clogged air filter can restrict air flow to the engine, causing it to not start. Check the air filter and clean or replace it if necessary. Dirty carburetor: A dirty carburetor can also prevent the engine from starting. Try cleaning the carburetor or taking it to a professional mechanic to get it cleaned. or you need to check motor compression and do a valves clearance service Thank you for watching my video

Thank you I I got it going. It was multiple things. Basically I changed all ignition parts. And bought a new duralast battery. My scooter had 12 miles when I bought it. It now has close to 8,000. And I out run the expensive scooters. Chinese scooters are Ok in my book. Thx again for all your videos. And watch for me because I definitely gonna support your channel.

How do you test the kill switch?

Hello Key man to test the kill switch wires on a gas scooter, you will need a multimeter, which is a tool that measures electrical current. Here are the steps to test the kill switch wires: Disconnect the kill switch wires from the rest of the scooter's wiring harness. Set your multimeter to measure resistance (ohms). Touch the probes of the multimeter to the two wires that were connected to the kill switch. The multimeter should read a very low resistance (close to zero ohms) when the switch is in the "on" position, and a very high resistance (infinite ohms) when the switch is in the "off" position. Activate the kill switch by pushing it to the "off" position and test the resistance again. The multimeter should now read a very high resistance (infinite ohms). Release the kill switch and test the resistance again. The multimeter should return to a very low resistance (close to zero ohms). If the multimeter readings do not match these specifications, there may be a problem with the kill switch wires or the switch itself, and further testing or repairs may be necessary.

I dont have flasher relay🤯 I looked everywhere. Someone said maybe it is integrated un cdi or regulator?🤷‍♂️ Moded is peageot vivacity 4t Thanks a ļoti❤️🙏 IM going insane🤣🤣🤣

My scooter uses an AC CDI, so I bought the blue one and it doesn't start, but when I plug in the old one it starts perfectly. Why you think this happens?

The blue one uses DC current. You would need one that supports AC voltage

No I don’t believe so I think you need to replace the roller weight inside the variator but is not easy to pin point the problem if I don’t see the scooter
