Failed to mention the massive depreciation of a car in the first three years, so if you replace one every 5 years or so you will be absorbing big losses when trading it in. It's makes much more economical sense to maintain and keep a car for at least 8-10 years.
@Steven-v5h2g9 ай бұрын
@@tims7738 Don't necessarily agree. After 10 yrs your car won't be worth much and after the warranty expires all the maintenance and repairs are on you. If you replace (not necessarily with brand new) you will or should have warranty and hopefully no repairs or problems.But do whatever works for you. Just my opinion.

We had a 2018 Kia Sportage but just got rid of it for a '23 Nissan. The Sportage ran fine while we had it but we did have to bring it in for that knock sensor recall. Same engine problem as the other models where all the software does is when it detects the fatal knock, you're supposed to get it into the dealership ASAP. Most likely what would happen is they either ignore it and say it's fine or replace the engine. After doing the software update, Kia then provided a lifetime warranty on the powertrain.
