maybe you should try drawing pieces that aren't as good, allowing the artist to see what you do with their style, which could help them improve. Then you could do really good ones in an "honorable mentions" type category. Also, hope I'm in Monday's vid. :3

I'm honestly glad mine wasn't picked, I ended up really hating mine after a while. I can't wait to work on February's theme. Thankfully I learned from what I messed up with from last month and I'm going to make a super cool piece this month! Edit: just got through the video, my favorite OC is perfect for this month's theme! Like always, I'm going to try something new for this month, and this time, I'm going to work with markers. Have fun venomizing an elf! Also edit again: Had a change plans a while ago. submitted a while ago. Did digital instead of markers because the color I needed most let me down. And used a different OC who I thought would be better for this. Oh, and color wheels. Lot's of color wheels were needed as references. Had fun, though.

Thank you so much! Awesome to hear. And that's a hard question to narrow down an answer too because it depends on where you wanna go. If you want to work for an animation studio that's very different than if you want to be an art youtuber or a freelance illustrator or something. But regardless, learning the fundamentals is always going to be an essnetial. Getting really good at perspective, anatomy, lighting an form, maybe colour theory as well. And when you're ready to look for work, just apply to EVERYTHING early on. I applied to over 100 jobs before I got my first job in animation and illustration (besides working as an intern) but once I got that job I learned so much from it! And I wasnt even that good of an artist when I started working, but applied around enough that I eventually found someone willing to give me a shot

Hahah I was cool with whatever interpretation! Admittedly, dunno why I didn’t mention this in the vid, but I chose scrappy because its my favourite word to describe myself in terms of my career XP always worked for small companies and whenever asked if I could do something that I had no idea what to do I’d just say I could and figure it out along the way. I tend to think of scrappy as more feisty and able to be quick-thinking and adaptable. But I also got why most people went robots and stuff :P
