I think I can speak for everyone in season 2 when soldier boy, butch, homelander, Huey was fighting was the highlight of the entire season. We finally got to see Homelander actually fight and use his powers and not just walk around threatening people like he usually does all the time. I loved that whole fight scene cause soldier boy put the beats on Homelander

There's an error I noticed, Butcher never believed that Becka was alive during season 1. He was just as surprised as the audience to see her and her son alive in the finale. He only starts looking for her in season 2. There's even a scene in Madeline's home where Homelander asks Butcher for proof that he killed Becka (already knowing where she and his son are), then laughs at him when he can't.

While it’s hard to hit all the beats, I wanna mention… you noted Cindy from Sage Grove, but you never mentioned Teddy Stillwell, the teleporter shown multiple times (at different ages) throughout the video. Also important was that Kimiko’s sacrifice in Russia gave the Boys the idea to use Soldier Boy’s new de-powering ability to get Homelander. In fact, you didn’t mention Kimiko losing her powers, being mute, or her relationship with Frenchie (one of the best, slow burn character development flexes in the whole series). I know ya couldn’t hit all the beats, but nice work and thanks for the recap.

They basically did/chose not to… If I remember correctly Stormfront mentioned how they realized the whole nazi party thing was never going to work, and the Supe syrum was still a ways off from being reliable. So they pivoted to more subtle forms of control and she basically described exactly what Vaught is doing, get everyone to choose to worship them and follow them. It was never about the actual nazi party it was just about power, control, and being “better” than everyone else… she was loyal to Vaught, not the party… once she realized she would live forever basically they decided to take their time and take over the world through bread and circus, the carrot instead of the stick.

Definitely the fact that they are self aware of how the Comics were more "Fuck Superheros" when the show is more "Be careful who you trust because the people who are above you may know the same or less then you" for what they are actually trying to get across. I feel like this show is a great example of deviating from the source material to gain a wider audience since the source material was so pigeon holed to comic book people who were super hero fatigued. Now it brings those fans along with others as well :)

5:44 rewatching this after S4 E7… this detail always bothered me. 3 things now made me question is Homelander took advantage of Becca: 1. Him asking Butcher “are you sure that’s what happened?” Because as sick a person Homelander is, 1 thing he isn’t is a liar. 2. When Homelander hooked up with Madelyn Stilwell, he was expecting and ONLY knew how to take… “hand help”. She walked him through intercourse completely which he finished in 5 seconds. 3. “Kessler” mocking Butcher for cheating on Becca which led to him to stop drinking. That kind of hurt easily can push a partner to focus obsessively on their career and to someone else. It feels more now like Becca made the decision since every character lives in grey in this series.
