And the king of MCU spoilers, Mark Ruffalo, may have revealed how Avengers Secret Wars will reboot the Marvel Cinematic Universe. (A big reveal type cadence) Another big bang. [clip, a scientist such as Dawkins or Tyson explaining what the Big Bang is]
So let’s break down Ruffalo’s history of spoiling major MCU events. Evidence that the MCU’s Big Bang has happened multiple times already. And why the upcoming reset will not only reset Universe 616, but the entire Marvel Multiverse. [clip, Ms. Minutes “the end of everything”]
Let’s start with Ruffalo’s spoiling habits. He and Tom Holland are notorious for being loose-lipped when promoting their Marvel films. [clip, Tom Holland saying Ruffalo is worse]
One of the most infamous Ruffalo spoilers was when he accidentally live streamed the first few minutes of Thor Ragnarok. [clip]
But even that slip up pales in comparison to him spoiling the ending of Avengers Infinity War. [clip, Ruffalo saying “everyone dies”]
Well we think we may have found yet another slip up. At the She-Hulk premiere, Ruffalo had this to say when asked about the upcoming Secret Wars film. [clip, Ruffalo “it’ll be hard to top Endgame…it’ll be a big bang, we’ll go out with a big bang.]
Doug: Hey person, isn’t that just an expression? Are you sure we aren’t reading too much into this?
Well sure the expression “go out with a bang” is a common phrase meaning to depart in a grand fashion. And that of course was sure to be expected for a film that may be the finale to the entire MCU. And not to mention the biggest Marvel film ever made.
But with Ruffalo saying “it’s a big bang” and then “we go out with a big bang.” I think he may yet again be spoiling what’s to come. The tone he used seemed a little unnatural. Almost like he was hesitantly teasing at something, because he just can’t help himself.
It’s likely that Kevin Fegie has let Ruffalo and other high level MCU alum know about his plans to relaunch the universe. And perhaps even his plans to move on from Marvel Studios after Secret Wars. [clip, Rascal Flatts, I’m Moving On]
Now we’ve heard mention of the Big Bang several times in the MCU. [clips]
And with us living in the Multiverse Saga, the topic of the creation and destruction of universes is at the forefront of the story.
We’ve recently seen the MCU seemingly adapt the theory of Schwarzschild Cosmology.
Also known as Black Hole Cosmology. A cosmological model in which the observable universe exists within a black hole. Some scientists theorize that within every black hole there lies another universe.
Doug: So like if you were to enter a black hole you could enter another universe?
Yeah, theoretically.
Doug: Oh wow, I always thought black holes had Matthew Mcanahay and a bunch of bookshelves inside them.

So like I was saying, we’ve seen the MCU adopt this theory in the Loki series. In the finale of the first season we open with a shot of one of many big bangs forming a universe. We then zoom out and see that this is happening within what appears to be a black hole. We then enter a neighboring black hole which takes us into another universe.
Doug: And then we see the Sacred Timeline.
Yes exactly.
Doug: So what’s the deal with that? Is the Sacred Timeline like inside that black hole? Does the other black hole have another Sacred Timeline inside it?
Well the way it was depicted was a little confusing, but here’s how I interpreted it. The Sacred Timeline consists of all existing timelines, aka all existing universes. Each strand of time is its own universe flowing parallel to the others in a circular motion. Thus making up the totality of the Sacred Timeline. [clip, Mobious “happens again and again and again”]

The “big bang” he says I think is honestly my theory about what’ll happen in secret wars, (it’s kinda basically the plot of Crisis on Infinite Earths), Kang will go on a multiversal killing spree destroying all the timelines seemingly that he has won, but what he doesn’t know is the Watcher (the monitors equivalent) pulled various Avengers, F4, X-men, and Eternals out of timelines and assembles the ultimate team to fight against Kang, and their battleworld will be the citadel at the end of time but they still would need up losing, so the Watcher sacrifices his life to reset the multiverse turning it into one universe with all the Avengers, F4, X-Men, and Eternals all are together, and since it’s one universe they only have to defeat 1 Kang, Kang prime if you will

What they're doing does seem more like Crisis than either Secret Wars story. I don't know why they're taking more inspiration from DC Comics than Marvel Comics in the "Marvel Cinematic Universe", but it does seem like that's what they're doing. I see how they're adapting Time Runs Out but I don't really see the Secret Wars connection. Time Runs Out leads to Secret Wars in the comics but it seems like it's leading to something else in the MCU and they're kind of just slapping the Secret Wars name on it.

See my idea was very similar. The MCU still gets reset and we still get that blinding flash. But my idea would be it ends with Howard Stark in a hospital holding a newborn Tony Stark. However, it's not John Slattery playing Howard like we all fondly know and remember. It's a totally different actor. It's a deaged James Woods as a new Howard Stark. Thus we have the beginning of a brand new MCU.

I don't think that "He Who Remains" wanted Sylvie to kill him. I do agree that they have been in this situation countless times and that this is a cycle. "He Who Remains" dies, Kang variants are allowed to exist, multiversal war brakes out, one of the variants becomes "He Who Remains", wins the war and creates the Sacred Timeline. But then after so many years he tries to pass on the torch to someone else: Loki and Sylvie - the only problem is convincing them. I believe, that since "The Citadel at the End of Time" exists outside of the Sacred Timeline it doesn't really get "rebooted" the same way the timelines do. When, after the previous one dying and multiversal war breaking out, the "next He Who Remains" enters the Citadel, he has access to the transcription / recording of the things that happened in the previous cycle. He then "replays" the whole "convincing Loki and Sylvie" script, trying to push it further "this time". Hoping that after so many cycles he will perfect his speech and convince Loki and Sylvie to take his place without killing him. He knows he did it so many times before and that even if Sylvie kills him, he will still end up back here in the next cycle, to go through the notes, but having more "knowledge" then previously as it seems he manages to get behind the point where the recording of the previous events end.

Another interesting theory about preventing Nathanial Richards from ever existing in the future is to make sure that every single Reed Richards does not procreate which is a sacrifice considering his love for Sue. They could come up with this through either killing Reed or just by having the council of Reeds exist and come to an understanding that they can’t ever have children due to Kang.

The Eternity wish from Thor: Love and thunder... how does that work. They said the first to reach him can make a wish, but what happens if you time travel and go their earlier before Gorr wasted it on reviving his daughter. Is Eternity multiversal? I think a fun ending to the MCU would be to have that big bang but have it essentially create our actual reality. They could compile a bunch of archival footage and interviews of Lee, Kirby, Ditko and tons of creatives that have contributed to the creation of Marvel Comics and how it has impacted our culture. It could sort of be a love letter to Marvel Comics.

According to MCU Wikipedia our universe is Earth-1218. A universe were no superheroes are physically allowed. In the secret war saga our universe got destroyed in this war. I can say this... I would be EXTREMELY pissed off if we went through a serious storyline like Secret Wars and all the build-up towards the climactic battle, have a massive graphical scene of the entire multiverse winking out of existence... only for K.E.V.I.N. to appear and just delete all the Kangs and press a reset button. It would be SUCH a slap in the face to fans to do something like that. That said... you COULD have She-Hulk lead them to K.E.V.I.N. and it be eventually revealed that it's just a ruse, and they're actually the One Above All (the ultimate supreme being of the Marvel lore), then revealing them in their full gloriously image... in the same way we got to see a cosmic being like Eternity in Thor 4. THEN it would be more acceptable.

I’d like to point out that the centre of the Big Bang (if you pause it) looks a hell of a lot like Battle World from the comics, this could finally be an explanation as to why it isn’t Doctor Doom leading us into secret wars, what if incursions smash two universes together making them retreat into a single point (battle world) and then cause another Big Bang creating essentially a blended universe, or even a different one entirely , but for reboot purposes I imagine they’ll taking blending liberties

They haven't even begun filming yet and I doubt they'd give such vital info to someone as infamously bad at keeping secrets as Ruffalo.
