@@alexandru_matei I know, but hey we can't just blame all that on this movie. Awesome Pitch Meeting as always. I'm just surprised Ryan didn't mention the fact that there seemed to be no cops at all in this version of LA. There are multiple gun battles in suburban neighborhoods, massive high speed car chases through crowded city streets, and dead bodies lying everywhere in houses and public businesses, but never once do we see the police show up to any of these major crime scenes.

I just assume in Hollywood movies it's literally only the bad cops that exist, (with the exception of movies with a cop protagonist, then they are the only good cop) the ones that'll shoot unarmed people that just look funny and any real threats they'll just watch at a distance.

I think the price of the fangs is determined the same way pelts/humps for buffalo were back in the 1800's. I can't remember exactly, but I do remember they didn't care about meat or pelts as long as all the buffalo were gone, so the government just paid you for proof of kills. In this case the fangs are the proof.

It's so weird to watch a movie that mentions stuff more interesting than the movie we're watching. The hunter groups, the Union as an organization, and the different kinds of vampires. All of those seem like they're leading into a more interesting story we might get in the future.

Don't get excited. A lot of these movies and shows are just designed as sequel and franchise bait by talentless hacks who don't know how to write a good standalone story.
@boobah56432 жыл бұрын
@@polelix1023 See, it's important that the writers know that, so they've got plot hooks and stuff. But you don't actually _need_ to dangle the plot hooks out in the open, especially since if you don't tell a good inaugural tale you don't actually get to use any of the other stuff. Consider _The Dresden Files._ When they introduced werewolves, they listed five or six kinds, and then Harry encountered all of them throughout the course of the book. When the series introduced vampires, they listed another four types of those, noted that that's incomplete information, and then used the three types they'd actually given concrete information on.
