Enjoyed your video very much.I like your concept in a previous video of why you do not use resin on your pieces.You are so right...it takes away from the natural frosting of the glass.I like how you have shared why you choose the products you use,as well as your insight in how to create a mosaic piece.Thank you so much for sharing 😊

Oh how I wish I lived near a sea-glass-prolific beach as you do!! Pacific Coast is not very sea-glass abundant. Can one purchase bags? I know you said that sea-glass is from the SEA, period. But, woe is me! Donna

I don't sell my sea glass but many people do. Check out some online facebook groups. Many people find glass at lakes as well.

Jackie do you find all your seaglass on the beach or do you buy some? I don’t think I’ll ever find enough on my beach to make large mosaics 😕
@SeaGlassArtbyJackie3 жыл бұрын
I only use sea glass I’ve found. Good luck finding some. It’s surprising how much less it takes than you would think.

Hi Jackie beautiful art work love the hummingbird with the white flowers. How much do u sell your 5 by 7 ones for . Take care keep safe. Christina :)

Thanks Cristina. It depends on how complicated the design and how rare the sea glass I use. If you're interested, let me know what you would want and I can give you a quote. Send me an email trimper.jackie@gmail.com

Timing on this was great! I have made many larger mosaics in the past but this week I started my 1st 5x7... Can you recommend a brand of suction cups that work well. I never thought of hanging it from one...I would worry it would let go and smash.
@SeaGlassArtbyJackie4 жыл бұрын
I hope you are happy with your result. I’m not sure of the brand of suction cup but I’d recommend a big one.

Thankyou. Which silicone do you recommend please?
@SeaGlassArtbyJackie2 жыл бұрын
Your welcome. It’s hard to find right now so whatever you can get that’s marked clear. I like Kwik seal and GE product.

@@SeaGlassArtbyJackie Hi Jackie. Thankyou for the reply, I did see later a video youd made on which glue to use , not white silicone that turns clear then? 💞
@SeaGlassArtbyJackie2 жыл бұрын
@@vanessaharling1957 if you can get it I do prefer the ones that are white and turn clear because they take longer to set but make sure they are marked clear.

@@SeaGlassArtbyJackie Sorry Jackie one more question please.. Do I put the mosaic on the front of the glass? or behind the glass, such a dumb question I know but I truly don't know 💞
@SeaGlassArtbyJackie2 жыл бұрын
@@vanessaharling1957 I put it on top of the glass but I’ve seen people hang them to show from the back. I like the texture of the glass showing out.

How do I keep bubbles from forming in the silicone as it cures?
@SeaGlassArtbyJackie3 жыл бұрын
I would try a different brand of silicone. I've never had that happen. Sorry that is happening for you.

I have just finished my first 5x7 (yes ,This was my first sea glass mosaic), I made several mistakes, the biggest mistake was I used too many large pieces and tried to put too much into the scene, still pretty though. I’m going bigger with the next one 🥰

That's wonderful. No matter what you do the sea glass is going to be amazing. Best wishes
