@@eponackI agree! Obscene corporate greed is a huge issue- once they start raking in huge profits, they can't get enough. So, they begin to cut any costs wherever they can, regardless of what or who suffers for it! It's such a truly gross and pathetic mindset 🤮!
@leaveitbetterthanyoufoundit24 күн бұрын
More times than not, it is fishing line or net that causes the injury. It’s careless behavior from, basically, the opposite end of corporate executives. For a variety of reasons, the poor don’t have many alternatives.
@kimdickinson306324 күн бұрын
I guess we don't realise how badly our trash is affecting the wildlife unless we watch things like this, I think your videos should be on prime time TV in all countries so people can truly see what we are doing to our planet. You are showing mostly seals but lots of wildlife is so badly affected I feel so bad for all of them. ❤ x
@MarySanchez-qk3hp24 күн бұрын
Some of us have known it for a long time. Even though it’s currently impossible to entirely escape plastic in both the developed and undeveloped worlds, we can cut back and reuse. Most plastic has never been recycled. You can still educate people, which is where your biggest impact will be. Be an environmental activist in your personal life, Kim. Memorize some of these statistics. Share them when opportunity comes your way. Don’t forget, these rescues are intrinsically important, but as well, they’re also vehicles to educate the public with stats at the end of each one. As OCN is educating you, pass it on.
@mikethetoolman877624 күн бұрын
the Gov't should be subsidizing your work, not stopping or restricting it!!! If they were policing the fishing industry, it might minimize the problems for animal life there!
@BoogieOogieWoogie24 күн бұрын
If the government is actually restricting animal rescues, for any other reason than a proven need to protect rescuers, then - at the very least - the government's motives are suspect! Of course, I'm not accusing-as I have no evidence-but, so much history, and the likely plausibility that such a scenario fits all too perfectly, does give rise to suspicion that the same greedy companies that profit from less seal competition, could be giving them bribes. If such restrictions are being placed, they absolutely should be thoroughly investigated🧐!

The government should enforce the conservation laws that prevent such pollution 🙂
