getting ready to buy my 2nd posturepedic adjustable 14 inch mattress putting the old onevin my guest room. The old one hasv2 body divits and we are not largevpeople. We lovevthus mattress so much that we are buying another one. i paid a lot of money almostv2 years ago itvwas an impulse buy butvi dont regret it! Shop around the difference in price is enormous.

Thanks for the great review as always! I was considering the tight top version of the Posturepedic Plus as I have a topper I love. Do you feel the coils are quality? I wont need the comfort layer? So the foam quality isnt as important for me...

I would say the coil unit is fine, but also nothing I'm impressed with.

Damn, I was actually about to buy this mattress. I was on vacation in Australia and the hotel had really comfortable mattresses. I asked them what the model was and they said it was a "Sealy Posturpedic Crown Jewel". Unfortunately, it appears the Crown Jewel isn't sold in the USA (or the models I have found on the internet for sale in the USA do not look like the Australian version). This RidgeCrest sort of resembles the Crown Jewel so I was thinking about getting it, but I guess I'll look at some of your other mattress videos. I'm a side sleeper who gets hot, going to see if you have other Costco mattress recommendations. Thanks.

I guess I might go with the Leesa Legend 12" Hydrid from Costco instead. The queen is on sale for $900 right now, only $50 than the RidgeCrest.

Glad the video was helpful. I think you'll be much happier with the Leesa Legend. In our tests, it was a significantly stronger performing mattress compared to the Ridgecrest.

@@NapLabReviews thanks for sharing this, it helps. The results are pretty close comparing Sealy's firm With BRS medium firm. Not sure if the BRS900 extra firm would score at par or better. Sealys firm King is at costco for about 850+ and BRS900 king extra firm is at mattressfirm for about 650+. Any suggestions amongst the two or a better extra firm alternative in the above price range ?

@@rohankhna For the extra firm feel I haven't found any mattress that's better than Plank Firm - naplab.com/mattress-reviews/plank-firm-review/ That's what I would recommend.

Can you find out if this Ridgecrest II is the same as Macys Castlewood/Mattress firm's Satisfied II/Ashley Furniture Euclid Avenue ? If they are indeed the same mattress, but different names to lock pricing, I wonder what other companies and mattresses follow the same route.

They at least look very similar. However, it would be impossible for me to say if they are the same without ordering each of them and cutting them open. Virtually all major traditional brands employ this tactic (and so do some direct to consumer brands)...which is make the same mattress, but sell it under different names depending on the retailer (often at different prices). Some times there will be slight changes like a single material layer or a cover will be a bit different so they can justify the higher price point. This tactic is designed to make it difficult to comparison shop between retailers.

A 3-4" topper will definitely help. Something like this - www.amazon.com/LINENSPA-Infused-Memory-Mattress-Topper/dp/B07MY34QH7?tag=nl_1002-20 That said, in a perfect world I wouldn't use a topper unless you're unable to return it and just get something better suited to your needs.

Well, came across this after buying this mattress basically due to advertised as Firm. Not much firm and I get hot in the middle of the body. Is there any other better recommended? Also, did you review Kirkland Signature by Stearns & Foster 14.5" Lakeridge Mattress.

Edge support was good during our tests. However, I don't have much confidence in the longevity / durability of this mattress in the long-term, especially with respect to sagging / body impressions.

Why does the video score say 9.22 but the link score say 7.60?

Apparently this mattress is labeled as "cushion firm" on tag.. Can you confirm this? Cushion firm is technically medium for sealy, Which would make this equal to the Medium one sold at MF. IT WOULD make sense given there are only 3 main "satisfied" levels from the original release.. IE 13" medium.. and PLUSH, and Medium EURO TOP Thank you!!

Unfortunately, we no longer have the tags. I would be surprised if Mattress Firm sold this exact model, as many mattress models at Costco have more unique and stripped down designs to make them less expensive.

Naplab is spot on. This bed is absolute trash. I got the plush version and it was still hard as a rock. Support layer is only an inch if that. Like he said the support layer is made of janky crunchy foam. You lay down and within 2 seconds your shoulder hits the concrete layer. Costco should be ashamed of themselves for selling such a trash product.

I wish I knew. Over a period of days (extending into several months) it started to really hurt on rotational motions. X-ray, negative. MRI, nothing obvious. It's been 3'ish months since it started really hurting. Seems to be better now, but I still have no idea what I actually did to it.

Their products are awful. I had a Horrible experience with both the product and costumer service. Bought 2 air mattress both deflated within 1 month, Indication of the quality of all products.
