The end of another life chapter. I'm so happy you've overcome all the 'fear' that other people put into you if you say you want to drive to Mexico and were able to experience the warmth and friendliness of the Mexican people and the beauty of the country. When you come back and are in the area, come look me up. For now I'm looking forward to seeing where you are heading next (I hear Moab, Oman....).❤

Dental hygienist here! For gum recession make sure you are only using SOFT toothbrushes. Gum recession can be multi factorial but what you can control is not brushing too aggressively, using a soft toothbrush and being aware of clenching and grinding. If you clench your teeth that can cause recession too. I have some recession myself! If your teeth are sensitive to cold, a sensitive toothpaste can help too! If you ever have any dental questions I can always try to help ❤️
@Mrandmrsadventure2 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much!! I have switched to a sensitive toothbrush and try to only brush down on my top teeth and up on the bottom teeth in an effort to gently encourage my gums to move in the right direction. I also switched to a special toothpaste and mouthwash by CariFree it’s called “CTx4” and is supposed to help with remineralizing enamel, etc. so far I’m quite pleased with it! Maybe it can help you too? xx
@amoorerdh2 жыл бұрын
@@Mrandmrsadventure yes! I’ve heard of that brand. Any toothpaste that has potassium nitrate can help with sensitivity too. Some peoples teeth are not sensitive even with recession. I usually recommend a fluoride rinse (which is what you are doing) to protect the recessed areas (they have no enamel so they can get decayed more easily). The rinses are great because you are not supposed to rinse with water after so the fluoride will stay on your teeth longer. If anything, just spit out toothpaste, don’t rinse (I know it sounds gross). But that’s something else you could do if you don’t want or have a fluoride rinse. Also the clenching thing, so many people don’t realize they do it during the day (especially while driving). If you say the word Mississippi it leaves your mouth in a natural position of “rest”. Sorry for the dental facts dump there 😂

I’m 47 & have the same issue with receding gums. I was in the USAF & they put a few mercury fillings in where I had none back in the day. I paid to have them removed in late 2009. That’s when I had a huge healing crisis & reaction to wheat/gluten. Itching, Rash, bloated constipated IBS (diagnosed in 2001), ... so uncomfortable & my VA doctor acted like I didn’t want to listen to what I was talking about when I mentioned I felt I was allergic. I feel like a lot of connections that I’m still navigating with the heavy metal detox still unfolding as I just went through an Explant too. Loving your adventures! Thanks for sharing an amazing trip. Just finished reading _The Lost Art of Feeding Kids: What Italy Taught Me about Why Children Need Real Food_ by Jeannie Marshall. I think you would enjoy this book. Happy Travels

Kind of sad to see your Mexico trip come to an end. I certainly enjoyed seeing that part of Mexico to which I've never been. Curious as to where you'll go from here. Wherever it is, best of luck to you on your next venture.
