Great breakdown. I've been playing A:FTE again recently after hearing about the upcoming paid DLC adding new campaign content. My gf and I have been really digging it, as we couldn't play it together last year when I first got it (at launch). Personally, I immediately fell in love with the new Lancer class. Absolutely giddy at the power-fantasy of mowing down xenos with the shoulder-mounted plasma cannons and heavy weapons. However, it disturbs me how many content creators for A:FTE I've heard refer to the Lancer's perk as "omni-science". Jimminy Cricket was not Pinocchio's "con-science". No one told Pinocchio to always let his con-science be his guide. Also, the Demolisher perk where getting hit causes you to release a concussive blast is more useful than most think. You can get it during the first couple missions on a fresh character, and for a newbie who is still learning the game, it can be fantastic to help prevent them from being overwhelmed before they unlock later perks and start putting a full build together. My point is not everything new needs to be for endgame. Sometimes, you need to make additions to help with the onboarding process of rookies, to help them get interested in playing through to endgame. Yes, many of these new perks/weapons aren't gonna be viable in endgame, but they could be vital for a new player trying to get through the campaign for the first time on a class that cannot even use their full perk grid for builds.

Off topic, how do you feel about the Kramer Short barrel? I combined Phalanx hangun mastery with the extra magazine size with the attachment that also increases mag size, along with reload speed perks. It makes my doc feel a bit more like a CQW class. Can you make it any better?

I can see you're a big Kramer Short-Barrel fan. Seeing that you're increasing the Magazine Size of the gun, I would recommend going with something that can add some Reload Speed. The faster you reload, the faster you can get back into the fight. Keep the Perks you already have, but try to take the Ported Compensator, Priming Magazine, and Hybrid Sight with you. Ported Compensator will increase your Fire Rate, increasing your DPS. Priming Magazine increases your Reload Speed AND increases your Fire Rate when you let the gun fully reload. (wait for the chambering sound, if you shoot too early you'll miss your buff) And Hybrid Sight to increase your Weak Point Damage. Aim for the head. Have fun. :D

@@Psyqhical unfortunately I have to take the Alloyed chamber. The 15% mag size increase stupidly rounds down to 0, so I have to combine the kit perk with this chamber to get 30% mag size increase. I was using the two attachments that increase stumble chance, but I’ll give these recommendations a go! Thanks!
