Seed also has a partnership with the EuroPro Tour. I'm glad to see they're garnering a lot of interest. International shipping logistics is a good problem to have!
@JacobSever7 жыл бұрын
Seed Golf wants $19.93 USD to ship a dozen golf balls from Ireland to the United States. That's nearly the cost of the dozen balls itself. Meanwhile, Vice only charges $6.95 flat rate shipping from Germany to the United States. Until Seed can do something to fix their shipping prices, I don't see those as being a valid option for us stateside. You'd be looking at paying the same price total as a dozen Pro V's.

Yep. that's not ideal and we're working on it.... appreciate the feedback

Seed Golf your balls seem awesome... shopping is a little high.. but I'm not hating... I mean I would a ball from Ireland in general.. I'm Irish and Italian... but if I pay 20 for balls and shipping for 40.. it just isn't ideal that being said I'm I'm sure you will get a major market share in the UK... and I hope you succeed
@seedgolf7 жыл бұрын
All in good time Ryen ;-) . Ball's launch officially next month so hopefully we'll have the logistics sorted out by then. We weren't planning to sell outside UK & IE at this stage but had a heap of enquires so we added extra regions to the site. Stay tuned...

Excellent reviews on the smaller companies Pete. It's refreshing to see the little guys getting competitive with the big name brands. I play Vice and Snell balls at the moment and can't wait to give the Seed a try.
@mjgrasso767 жыл бұрын
Love how these tests show that a lot of brands now have golf balls that are comparable to Titleist. For the average golfer (like me) you now have so many options for a good ball at a reasonable price.

have been using the SEED pro tour the last few months and really like them, I find they spin less off the driver. Switched from the chrome soft balls, which are a great ball . Will continue to use them ,great feel off them.

Fantastic video Peter and John is doing a brilliant job on editing ! Just a suggestion/question, would it be possible to hit the balls out on the course for future videos as well as dry ball data. That way we can see how they perform on the course as well?? Keep the videos coming Peter

Hi Pete , just bought some Vise balls , They sent me 5 different types of balls from driver balls to pro soft . I can now try all the different balls and see witch I prefer 👍Looking forward to seeing your review of Vise balls Cheers Pete 👍👍

To me an extra bit of control on short shots and lower spin in driver makes prov1 a very clear winner in this test
@johnnypenso95747 жыл бұрын
You've swallowed the Kool Aid friend. The differences are infinitesimal. The numbers don't lie. 3 yards different in the driver and 1 yard in the irons. Statistically almost insignificant. And the spin rate on the 50 yard shots was even higher on the cheap ball. The roll out on the 9 iron was an identical 4 yards on each ball. If you switched labels and the balls had the same sound you'd never know the difference.

Do you plan on trying to get your hands on some Snell balls? Company was started by Dean Snell, who used to work for Titleist (supposedly co-designed the Pro V1) and then Taylormade (designed the Penta, the first 5-piece ball). I've used them, but I'm not good enough to tell if they are as good as a Pro V1.

Hi Peter, excellent informative review but I understand SD-01 5 is £125 for 5 doz compared to Vice Pro+ at £165 for 5doz. (Vice + postage, Seed perhaps not) . At almost £10/doz cheaper I suggest the Seed is by far the better value.
@cliveangell57466 жыл бұрын
Actually the seed golf balls for myself living in England will be 26 pounds which broken down equates to being 20 pounds for the balls and 6 pound for shipping, compared to the likes of pro v1 and tp5 they are a lot cheaper.

There's a Seed SD-05 out now, marketed as having extra spin characteristics. It could be interesting to get your hands on a pack?
@seedgolf7 жыл бұрын
Hi John, SD-05 is a lower compression version of the SD-01 that Peter has tested. It's a little more suited to average swing speeds (and we'd be happy to send some to Peter for a follow up test ;-) There's three models scheduled for our initial release... SD-01, SD-05 & SD-15.

Just watched this as Seed balls have just came to my attention, good review Pete but 10 yard run out on a 42 yard carry with a Pro V must surely be an error?

50% cheaper than my preferred ball ProV1. Worth a try. Just placed my first order.

Brilliant video mr finch. Id love to have a go with a pro ball. Im not very good and i play with a reverse grip, but i do like odd brands that aren't massive. Cant wait for more seed products!

Thanks Scott, us too. We're working on a lot of stuff over here, but balls will be first. SD-01 is the first of three models coming...

Seed Golf definitely will be keeping an eye on you guys. Think you will do any clothing etc? That would be insane. What sort of plans you have?
@seedgolf7 жыл бұрын
If you could see what we're wearing now you probably wouldn't ask that ;-) We're equipment-geeks really, but we have designed the brand to lend itself to stuff like gloves & clothing... I can say this, if we do it, it will be different from the usual golf attire look. The look & feeel of the packaging Peter describes in the vid is an example of our design ethos
@scottelston39347 жыл бұрын
Seed Golf im super excited to see what you guys can do!! Will definitely be getting a few bits in the future from you guys. If the quality of the balls peter described are good then the other items you do will be even better. when i move im ordering some sd-01s to treat myself. Do you have a email for the latest news you guys do as id definitely like to here news. Keep it up guys.

The fact that Pete can't control the Seed ball as well as the ProV on short shots around the green means it's a no go. How can us mere mortals use it if he can't? Thanks for the review!

What do you think of a testing Thursday?🙂😉
@TheEverymanReview7 жыл бұрын
peter - Add a bit of wear testing maybe 50 shots with a single ball just to get an idea of the wear patterns/ rates on balls too... Obviously wear rates go out the window when I start bouncing them off trees, cart paths and buildings but still. The more we know the better

£25 for seeds in the UK, brilliant could be a new ball
@MrKillahippo7 жыл бұрын
Peter, Can u take the balls out on a full game, used both and see what the wear and tear the balls end up with.. Like what I did, took both balls, Snell and PV1 and then Pv! and Vice, they performed very similar for me.( 14hc), but the Snell wear and tear/ Scuff marks were far greater than the PV1 and the Vice came out the best!! Really, Snell, not good enough. Yep they were cheaper but if they are only good for one round then it's not worth it. PV1 2-3 pounds, Vice,this ball lasts 4 rounds, now that's value with performance.
