Now known as the Dragon Warrior, Po (Chawalit Simankhongtham) protects the Valley of Peace alongside his friends and fellow kung fu masters, the Furious Five. 1 Nice little detail I love about this sequel is that in the first movie, Po's dad said his dream was to make tofu, then joked about how that dream was nonsense, but in this movie it was like he was inspired by Po following his dreams of kung fu, and now he comes out with the "Free tofu desserts for everybody!!! withpurchaseofcourse".

Gary Oldman was such an amazing choice to voice Shen in this movie. Iconic villain for sure just like Tai Lung.

Thanks for sticking with this series, guys! I'm glad you mentioned Shen's chances to avoid his horrible fate. It wasn't only Po that offered him those opportunities, but the soothsayer did as well. She warned him more than once what would happen if he continued on his destructive (and self-destructive) path. But Shen kept refusing to listen, and that was his downfall. As for Po and Tigress, you're not the only fans who wonder whether they might be more than friends. I've yet to see any confirmation of romance between them, but who knows what the future holds? (Please note that I haven't seen the 4th movie yet.) And really and truly, don't avoid Japan simply because of the crowds! I know that places like Tokyo and Osaka are packed with people, but there's so much more to the country than the major cities. If you're willing to stray off the beaten path a bit, there are lots of amazing things to see, and you can even avoid the crowds, especially if you visit at the right time of year. If you ever want to check out Niigata, look me up -- I'd love to play tour guide for my fellow Canadians!

Jennifer Yuh Nelson should have just directed every Kung Fu Panda from here on out. She's primarily a storyboard artist but then one day just decides: "I'm gonna direct a masterpiece brb". Humor, action, and drama all working seamlessly with each other. Nothing feels out of place. This movie didn’t need to be a masterpiece. It just was.

Fun Fact: Originally Lord Shen Was Going To Be More Of A Sympathetic Character. It Was Shown That His Parents Were Going To Abandon Him Because Of The White Coloring He Had Which Explains On Why He Said "My Parents Hated Me, Do You Understand That? They Wronged Me And I Will Make It Right". And Had This Was Shown He Would've Become The Most Tragic Character In The Entirely Of Kung Fu Panda.
